About the Role
Malbek is seeking a Senior CLM Business Consultant to lead the functional direction of complex enterprise CLM implementations. As a senior individual contributor and trusted advisor, this role translates business objectives into scalable solutions and drives critical decisions from discovery through adoption and optimization. The ideal candidate brings deep CLM expertise, executive-level consulting skills, and the judgment to simplify complexity and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the functional direction of enterprise CLM implementations from discovery and future-state design through go-live, adoption, and optimization.
- Facilitate executive and cross-functional workshops that translate business objectives into clear requirements, priorities, decisions, and measurable outcomes.
- Define scalable contracting processes and solutions across intake, authoring, approvals, negotiation, obligations, renewals, reporting, and access.
- Establish and govern the core delivery artifacts needed to ensure alignment, traceability, quality, and informed decision-making.
- Advise customers on CLM and product best practices, articulate trade-offs, and redirect approaches that create avoidable complexity, risk, or supportability concerns.
- Direct functional alignment for integrations and data migration by defining business use cases, mappings, validation standards, exceptions, and acceptance criteria.
- Guide customers in the responsible use of AI in contracting, with appropriate governance, validation, human oversight, and adoption measures.
- Define functional readiness standards for testing, UAT, defect resolution, training, operational handoff, and go-
- Serve as a senior client advisor by setting expectations, resolving ambiguity, guiding difficult decisions, and leading escalations through resolution.
- Advance delivery excellence through disciplined scoping, estimation, quality oversight, reusable assets, methodology improvements, and consultant mentorship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent
professional experience.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in business analysis, functional consulting, implementation consulting, or enterprise SaaS services, including substantial CLM delivery experience.
- Proven leadership across multiple end-to-end enterprise CLM implementations involving complex stakeholders, integrations, migration, and organizational change.
- Expertise in Malbek or a comparable enterprise CLM platform, with strong command of contracting processes across Legal, Procurement, Sales, Finance, and Operations.
- Advanced expertise in discovery, facilitation, process design, requirements definition, fit-gap analysis, solution design, testing, and change enablement.
- Technical fluency to align effectively with architects and engineers across integrations, data, identity, security, and
- Executive presence and consultative authority to influence stakeholders, articulate trade-offs, resolve ambiguity, and navigate
- Ability to lead multiple engagements, collaborate across global teams and time zones, and travel periodically for customer workshops or go-lives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Legal Operations, Procurement, Commercial Operations, contract management, legal technology, or transformation
- CLM platform certification or relevant professional credentials, including PMP, Agile/Scrum, or Lean Six Sigma a
- Experience in complex enterprise environments, consultant mentorship, delivery-method improvement, or solution-quality
