  • You collaborate effectively across teams and technical domains to deliver scalable solutions.
  • You are experienced with Databricks and understand how to deploy, secure, and automate workspaces.
  • You take pride in building automation that improves reliability and reduces manual effort.
  • You enjoy working with both infrastructure and application code, and understand how they intersect.
  • You mentor teammates, contribute to code reviews, and foster a culture of learning and quality.
  • You are a continuous learner that invests in learning about new and changing technologies that help solve infrastructure and operational problems through code and at scale.
  • You foster a team culture of collaboration, open communication, and of shared ownership.
  • You are reflective and continuously seek ways to simplify, automate, and improve.

What You Will Own

  • Collaborate with the Platform Services team to design, build, and maintain the cloud foundations that support Ignite and other internal engineering systems.
  • Deploy and manage Azure and Databricks infrastructure using Terraform, Azure DevOps, custom services and automated pipelines.
  • Implement and maintain platform automation, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration tools.
  • Manage Databricks workspaces, including networking, access control, and compute configuration.
  • Support the reliability, observability, and scalability of platform components through proactive monitoring and automation.
  • Partner with other engineering teams to integrate platform tooling into CI/CD workflows.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations to ensure availability and stability of critical platform services.

Important Technical Skills

  • Databricks (1+ years required): Workspace setup, networking, access control, compute configuration, and Terraform automation.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform (required), Azure CLI, and scripting for configuration and provisioning.
  • Architecture: An understanding of best practices for building well-architected solutions on Azure or public cloud environments.
  • Azure DevOps: Required experience with pipeline creation, YAML templates, and environment deployments.
  • Cloud Infrastructure (3+ years required): Hands-on experience with Azure (preferred) or another major public cloud.
  • Networking: Solid understanding of VNets, subnets, private endpoints, NAT, DNS, and routing.
  • Security & Governance: Implementing secure access patterns, managing secrets, and enforcing compliance standards.
  • DevOps Practices: CI/CD pipelines, source control, automated testing, and environment promotion workflows.
  • Software Development: PowerShell, SQL, YAML, and other scripting languages.

Nice-to-Have Technical Skills

  • Software Development: Experience with .NET (C#), Python - supporting internal tools and automation services.
  • Automation Frameworks: Familiarity with Ansible or other configuration management tools.
  • Identity & Access Management: Understanding of Azure Entra ID or Okta in cloud environments.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or third-party observability tools.

  • Adhere to and comply with the organization's Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Safeguard organizational systems by identifying and reporting potential security risks.
  • Follow established policies and best practices for protecting data and system assets.
