At Milestone Systems we turn ideas into impact and strive for progress.

We are looking for a Senior Cloud & Network Engineer - the focus is on operations of existing infrastructure.

Impact & Purpose:

This is an operations-focused role: you'll join a growing IT Operations team and own the day-to-day running of our network and Azure infrastructure - incident response, change execution, and the handoff of new projects from architecture into steady-state operations - the frontline work that keeps our environment stable, secure, and running smoothly day to day.

Location:

We are looking for a Senior Cloud & Network Engineer based in Sofia, Bulgaria (hybrid mode of working).

Role Summary:

We are growing our Operations team and looking for a Senior Cloud & Network Engineer to own the day-to-day running of our network and Azure infrastructure.

This role is about operating, stabilizing and continuously improving our existing environment. You will run the network and cloud infrastructure, give structured feedback to the architecture team based on real operational experience, and take ownership of new projects as they move from implementation into steady-state operations. A key part of the role is making sure every piece of infrastructure has a clear, well-defined relationship to our ITIL processes - incident management, change management, problem management, and service request fulfilment - so requests and issues are always handled consistently and predictably.

What You Will Do:

  • Operate and maintain our existing network and Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring performance, availability and security across all locations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents across network, firewall, wireless, and cloud connectivity
  • Provide structured feedback to the infrastructure architects based on operational experience - flagging design gaps, recurring issues and improvement opportunities
  • Take ownership of new projects and changes as they transition from design/implementation into operations, checking documentation, runbooks, monitoring and support readiness before go-live
  • Ensure that every service and infrastructure component has a clear, well-defined relationship to our ITIL processes: incident management, change management, problem management, and service request fulfilment
  • Review and implement changes in production following our change management procedures
  • Fulfil service requests related to network and cloud access, connectivity, and configuration
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and plan improvements
  • Stay current on technology trends relevant to network and Azure operations
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to provide coverage outside standard business hours when required (Between 6 to 8 on-call duties per month)

What You Bring to The Team:

  • Proven experience operating and supporting enterprise network infrastructure - switching, routing, firewalls, and wireless
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure networking and cloud connectivity
  • Comfortable working within ITIL-based processes - incident, change, problem and service request management - and able to identify where a process or responsibility needs clarifying
  • Experience taking new infrastructure or services from implementation into steady-state operations
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work complex incidents and problems to resolution
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Relevant IT education and/or equivalent work experience
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) – Mandatory

Considered Advantage:

  • CCNA (or equivalent networking certification)
  • Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700)

How You Will Make a Difference:

In this role, you'll be the critical link between architecture and day-to-day operations - turning well-designed infrastructure into a reliably running service. Your feedback will directly shape how future projects are designed, your ownership of ITIL alignment will make incident and change handling faster and more predictable, and your hands-on work keeping the network and Azure environment stable will protect the business from costly downtime.

About the Team:

You’ll become part of a team dedicated to operational excellence and continuous improvement. The IT Operations team works on the front line of critical events, while partnering with IT colleagues across departments to strengthen processes and prevent disruptions. We take pride in learning from every incident, improving together, and driving IT maturity across the organization.

How We Support You:

  • Individual development plans aligned with your career goals
  • Access to training, learning resources, and certifications
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Supportive leadership and regular feedback
  • Opportunities for cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration

  • Food vouchers
  • Multisport card covered by the employer
