About The Position |

 

The PEOPLE Commerce team is seeking a Senior Editor to edit our shopping content, which covers the latest celebrity trends, must-have products, and major shopping events such as Black Friday and Prime Day.

In this role, the Senior Editor will manage team members, oversee daily editing on tight deadlines, and play a key role in shaping strategy by analyzing performance data and applying insights. The editor will also use a range of editorial and commerce tools to help grow the business and evolve our content approach. This role will report into our Associate Editorial Director.

Our Shopping team brings that same authority to commerce coverage, combining in-house expertise with insights from a wide network of trusted professionals, including fashion stylists, makeup artists, professional organizers, and other industry experts, to help guide our product recommendations.

We’re a highly collaborative group that moves quickly when it matters, whether that’s jumping on a breakout Taylor Swift trend, identifying the next must-have product, or executing coverage around major shopping moments and holidays.

We’re looking for a Senior Editor who is always thinking about what’s next and best for our readers, communicates clearly, helps optimize workflows and output, and brings a strong team-first mindset.

 

About The Positions  Contributions:

The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree

 

Experience:

5+ years of writing and editing shopping content

Prior managerial experience

Possesses a deep understanding of editing for an online audience, news judgment, commerce, SEO, and content management systems.

Experience covering major shopping holidays

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $77,000.00 - $92,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives. In addition, People Inc. provides to employees (and their eligible family members) a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, unlimited paid time off (PTO), adoption or surrogate assistance, donation matching, tuition reimbursement, basic life insurance, basic accidental death & dismemberment, supplemental life insurance, supplemental accident insurance, commuter benefits, short term and long term disability, health savings and flexible spending accounts, family care benefits, a generous 401K savings plan with a company match program, 10-12 paid holidays annually, and generous paid parental leave (birthing and non-birthing parents), all of which may vary depending on the specific nature of your employment with People Inc. and your work location.
