Summary
A Senior Consultant has deep technical expertise in one or more of Analytics8’s core service lines, including 5+ years of successful consulting implementations. Senior Consultants are proficient at managing small to medium projects and are able to handle the scope/cost/timeline tradeoffs for single projects. A Senior Consultant gains the confidence of customers and has a track record of extending projects and identifying additional projects within existing customers.
A Senior Consultant continues to broaden and deepen technical skills while also focusing on business and project management skills.
Responsibilities
- Delivers highly complex, successful solutions pertaining to service line area of expertise (e.g., complex data models, architectural recommendations, enterprise data strategy recommendations, governance solutions, architectural recommendations, and complex data models)
- Gathers and refines customer business and technical requirements on client engagements
- Provides accurate level of effort estimation for project stages and tasks
- Monitors project budget and communicate regularly with Engagement Lead/Consulting Director regarding budget status
- Manages and documents client expectations and decisions with regards to scope, change management, cost, and timeline
- Facilitates knowledge transfer plans as needed
- Authors and maintains high quality documentation and other artifacts, such as project management artifacts, written case studies, and detailed use cases
- Collaborates with Account Executive/Manager on opportunities for account expansion, builds key stakeholder relationships, provides scope and content development for SOWs, and proposes staffing recommendations
- Serves as trusted advisor to client stakeholders providing recommendations, thought leadership, and supports strategic vision for the account
- Responsible for project team adherence to the Analytics8 Delivery Model (ADM) when in an Engagement Lead role
- Conducts technical interviews for candidates as needed.
Essential Requirements
- Advanced experience and demonstrated ability in complex client engagements in two or more of the following core offerings:
- Analytics
- Data Management
- Data Strategy
- Governance
- Advanced Analytics/Data Science
- Advanced level SQL experience
- Applied experience and demonstrated ability with Data Modeling of advanced complexity.
- Ability to distill and communicate complex technical and business concepts in a targeted and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including executives
- Proven ability to identify category, severity, likelihood, and potential impact of risk(s), develop appropriate mitigation plan, and communicate/escalate details to appropriate internal and client stakeholders in a timely manner
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex client relationships
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage projects according to SOW structure, project plan, intent, and impact of language
- Demonstrated ability to design comprehensive test plans (i.e., QA plans.)
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- Strong active listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
