What are we looking for?

Hercules is looking for a senior or staff level Content Writer to deep dive into our customers and share data driven research and insights. Research & Insights

What will you do?

You will write the following

  • Customer case studies. Write 100s of case studies about customers and the value Hercules Hercules has created for them. See hercules.app/customers for examples

  • Research-driven blog posts. Write detailed, research-driven blog posts, reports, and deep dives about trends we see across our customers. See Carta Data Desk, Openrouter Insights, or Ramp Economics Lab for examples

What skills do we expect you to have?

We expect candidates to be incredibly strong across all of the following areas:

  • Exceptional writing. You are able to turn complex information into clear, compelling stories. Your writing is terse, simple, specific, and useful.

    • Note: We explicitly require a portfolio of long-form published work to

  • Customer interviewing. You are able to conduct extensive interviews with a variety of customers. You can dive deep on unexpected information and uncover the details that make a case study convincing

  • Original research and editorial judgment. You are able to independently come up with interesting research questions and stories.

  • Analytical ability and rigor. You are comfortable working with data, spotting patterns, and presenting findings through clear charts and explanations. You verify your numbers and challenge assumptions!

  • Business and software understanding. You quickly understand how different businesses operate and how software affects their revenue, costs, and day-to-day work.

  • AI-native. You use AI extensively to 10x your output speed and quality

  • SEO. You understand search intent, internal linking, and other SEO best practices.

Hercules founding team works in-office in San Francisco (Kearny and Bush). We have a very strong preference for in office. We are open to remote for exceptional candidates who are willing to 1) work in US time zones and 2) travel to the office regularly.
