What’s on offer?

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Senior Contracts Administrator to complement our existing team and support our expanding long-term program of works in the Victorian Utilities sector. Based onsite in Metropolitan Melbourne (head office in Lynbrook), you will be part of a dedicated team delivering a diverse portfolio of multidisciplined projects, including earthworks, treatment plants, large-scale pipelines, pump stations and concrete structures.

In this role you'll be responsible for:

  • Understanding all commercial aspects of the construction and utilities contracts and identifying key areas of contract and financial risk

  • Procurement of subcontractors and negotiation of commercial terms in accordance with Company subcontracting protocols

  • Management of subcontractor claims (including payment, variations and EOT)

  • Liaising closely with the Project Manager, Commercial Manager and the wider project team to ensure commercial and financial risks are mitigated

  • Coordinate with project schedules to prioritise and ensure timely application of procurement processes

  • Ensuring internal monthly financial reporting requirements are met based on disciplined forecasting and tracking of revenue and costs.

How you'll connect to the role:

  • Formal Qualifications in Contract Management is desirable

  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end procurement and contract formation in the construction and/or utilities sectors

  • Sound commercial and financial acumen related to the construction/utilities sectors

  • Experience in contractual notifications, claim preparation and negotiation

  • Have excellent IT skills and advanced skills in Excel and Word

  • Experience with JDE will be an advantage, but is not essential
