Capital markets are undergoing a fundamental shift. Assets that live in fragmented systems and manual workflows are moving onto blockchains -systems designed to move and store value more transparently and efficiently.
While this unlocks more open and programmable financial systems, it also introduces significant complexity. For most users, interacting with this new infrastructure is still too difficult.
Fun builds the infrastructure that powers consumer-facing fintech applications - handling onboarding, account access, and money movement so users can interact with blockchain-based systems as seamlessly as they do with traditional finance.
For fintech builders, Fun provides a best-in-class onboarding and deposit stack that drives conversion and unlocks user growth. We operate at the intersection of financial infrastructure, complex engineering, and product experience.

About The Role

We're looking for a Senior Counsel to join our legal team who is hungry to work as an all-purpose legal athlete, leading on commercial and transactional matters while touching on legal issues across the entire business. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you’ll own the rapid lifecycle of our partnership and integration agreements – from client contact through signature – while growing into the broader legal function across regulatory, product, corporate governance, litigation, employment, and other special matters. We’re looking for an exceptional lawyer who is sharp with people, intuitively orients around genuine legal risks and drafts clean and fast. This is a rare opportunity to work along-side and be mentored by a seasoned GC in the industry.

What You'll Do:

  • Own Commercial Agreements: Draft, negotiate, and close integration partnership agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and other commercial documents at the pace our sales team demands.

  • Support the Full Legal Function: Work directly with the GC on regulatory analysis, product counseling, corporate governance, financing matters, and employment issues as they arise – building fluency across the entire in-house practice.

  • Partner with Business Teams: Collaborate closely with Business Development, Product, and Finance to translate commercial objectives into clear, protective legal terms.

  • Leverage Technology: Use AI and modern legal tools to accelerate drafting, research, and review – maintaining exceptional quality while meeting aggressive turnaround expectations.

  • Scale Legal Operations: Help build the processes, templates, and playbooks that allow a lean legal team to support a rapidly scaling organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • JD from an accredited US law school; admitted to practice in at least one US jurisdiction.

  • 2+ years at a top-tier law firm with a focus on technology transactions, M&A, or commercial contracts – ideally in a high-volume, fast-paced practice.

  • Exceptional legal drafting skills with a commitment to clarity, precision, and speed.

  • Comfort operating in a high-velocity environment where priorities shift and turnaround expectations are measured in hours, not days.

  • Enthusiasm for using AI and technology tools to enhance legal work product and speed of delivery, without compromising accuracy.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust quickly with business counterparts.

Nice to Have:

  • In-house experience at a growth-stage technology company.

  • Familiarity with payments infrastructure, fintech, or digital assets.

  • Experience with cross-border commercial agreements or international corporate structures.

  • Background supporting enterprise sales teams on complex, multi-stakeholder deals.

Why Join Us:
● Shape the future of payments and programmable money
● Work with bleeding-edge tech in a domain where innovation moves fast
● Join a mission-driven team focused on access, openness, and trust
● Be a key contributor, not just a cog—your work will ship fast and matter
● Collaborate with top-tier protocols, builders, and financial infrastructure providers

Location and Work Environment This role is primarily in-person at our Midtown, NYC headquarters. We work together Monday through Thursday for fast, iterative collaboration and optional WFH Fridays to reset and recharge.
