Job Description:

A multi-billion, multi-credit fund is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join our team of dedicated investment professionals. Our investment approach is quantitatively and fundamentally driven, with a focus on outperforming the ICE BofA 1–10-year US Corporate Index by utilizing a disciplined and targeted approach analyzing credit fundamentals, potential return and risk attributes, and portfolio construction. We use quantitative tools in both the research and portfolio construction process.


This position works closely with senior investment professionals, including the portfolio managers, experienced Analysts, and Quantitative researchers with the goal of providing appropriate high-level decision-making processes. In addition to working with the immediate team, analysts will have the opportunity to collaborate with other Fixed Income and investment teams across the investment department, reflecting our strong collaborative culture. Responsibilities:

  • Perform fundamental analysis, assessing various credit asset classes and the potential risk/return profile.
  • Help manage portfolio construction strategy by adjusting and investing in various fixed income asset classes.
  • Enhance and author various informational reports that may be internally and externally distributed.
  • Collaborate with team members to leverage quantitative tools to construct and maintain the portfolio.
  • Be a proactive team player, ready to assist in ad-hoc research projects, support technology initiatives, and contribute to other firm-wide projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with relevant coursework and 5-10 years of experience in credit research and/or investing (buy-side or sell-side).
  • Strong research skills, including proficiency in both data collection, analysis, and portfolio construction principles.
  • Experience using quantitative and statistical tools to screen, monitor and manage portfolio risks including credit exposures, bond structures, duration, and liquidity.
  • Excellent verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and collaborate effectively within teams.
  • Progress towards CFA a plus.

The base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $175,000 per year. This range reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role. In addition, this position may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, and other compensation programs as applicable. Eligible employees may participate in a 401(k) program with a generous profit-sharing contribution, medical, prescription dental, and vision coverage; life insurance; disability coverage; paid holidays; vacation; and sick time, subject to plan terms and Company policies.
