What You Will Do
Trility Consulting is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Operations Engineer to support a cybersecurity program transition to a new Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP).
This is a hands-on engineering engagement embedded within an existing Trility delivery team. You will focus on implementing security tool integrations, redirecting telemetry and log flows, and ensuring operational readiness across on-prem and cloud environments. The ideal consultant can step into an active program, collaborate effectively, and drive execution with minimal ramp-up time.
This is a remote 1099 position.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and integrate security tooling across a number of cybersecurity sub-workstreams
- Execute configuration updates to redirect logs, telemetry, and security data feeds to the new MSSP
- Coordinate with the MSP on endpoint agent deployments and related technical dependencies
- Validate integrations and ensure consistent security visibility across on-prem and cloud environments (outside the CMMC boundary)
- Support development of operational SOPs, playbooks, and integration documentationIdentify integration risks and recommend practical mitigation strategies based on hands-on experience
- Provide technical input during MSSP-related decision points, including tooling compatibility and architecture considerations
- Collaborate closely with Trility team members, client IT stakeholders, MSP, and MSSP partners to ensure smooth transition and stabilization
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or security operations roles
- Hands-on experience deploying and integrating enterprise security tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, logging/telemetry platforms, endpoint agents, log forwarding pipelines, MSSP onboarding integrations)
- Experience supporting MSSP transitions or working in environments with outsourced security operations
- Strong understanding of log forwarding, telemetry routing, and security platform integrations
- Experience working across hybrid environments (on-prem and cloud)
- Ability to execute configuration changes independently within active production environments
- Experience creating or contributing to operational documentation and runbooks
- Strong communication skills and ability to operate effectively within a cross-functional consulting team
