What You Will Do
  • Monitor EDO’s modeling outputs, benchmarking them against a variety of priors for absolute values, ranges, and distributions, with an emphasis on identifying outliers
  • Identify the effects of specific modeling steps and transformations in the pipeline to determine if they are acting as expected
  • Evaluate prediction sets, implementing data transformations as needed to harmonize predictions with natural intuition and previous benchmarks.
  • Fully ingest client expectations, priors, and requests, and help the team build toward these
  • Work on a small team and take ownership of high impact projects.

    • Probability: Empirical distributions; describing characteristics of distributions in meaningful ways; conditional probabilities
    • Regression Analysis: correlation measurement; curve fitting
    • Linear Algebra, Signal Processing and Data Filtering: vectorization, orthogonal transformations, singular value decomposition
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively on a distributed team.

Experience we can help you develop

  • Building models of sales lift, running controlled experiments, modeling marketing effectiveness.
  • Familiarity with panel datasets, especially ones with missing data and attrition.
  • Using EDO's GenAI tools to assist in development, with resources to best enable use of these tools.
  • Meaningful exposure to several parts of the data analyst/scientist pipeline as part of a growing and evolving product on a small team
