DUTIES:

• Develop and improve existing reports and data interfaces using SAS, Python, Teradata SQL, Power BI, Informatica, Control M and shell scripting.
• Convert existing SAS code into high quality python code that is efficient (fast), automated, maintainable, and follows industry best practices.
• Use available libraries to their fullest advantage mainly Python Package Index, Pandas, NumPy and Object Relational Mapper (ORM) libraries – examples include SQL Alchemy.
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient Python Code and integrate data storage solutions.
• Use Python libraries to carry out data analysis, parse data, analyze datasets, and create visualizations to communicate findings in a way that’s helpful to the organization and develop excel reports for state submission.
• Assist with SAS migration and SAS administration including performance tuning and scheduling of programs.
• Provide automated solutions to meet regulatory reporting needs for assigned regional health plans.
• Develop ETL jobs to extract data from heterogeneous sources, applying transformation logics to extracted data, and loading into Data Warehouse Databases.
• Use SQL programming to develop stored procedures & functions to support the extracts/reports by retrieving the data from the data warehousing application.
• Develop UNIX shell scripts to automate the processes and perform day-to-day activities.
• Design and develop ETL/DB components in an agile environment utilizing a test-driven development approach.
• Mentor team members and be proactive in developing new skill sets.
• Timely and accurate time reporting, ticket management, and automation support.
• Support transition to new tools and systems as required by corporate or organizational growth and migration.
• Follow development standards and best practices.
• Position reports to Centene headquarters at 7700 Forsyth Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63105, and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting permitted 100% of the time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related, or its foreign equivalent, or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position, and 5 years of relevant work experience.
• In addition, experience with the following skills is required: (1) Developing ETL jobs to extract data from heterogeneous sources, applying transformation logics to extracted data, and loading into Data Warehouse Databases; (2) Using SAS (EG, Interactive and SSH Batch), Python (PyCharm, Jupyter), Teradata, INFORMATICA, Power BI, DBeaver, PL/SQL programming Microsoft SQL Server Management tools, Snowflake, AWS to develop stored procedures & functions to support the extracts/reports by retrieving the data from the data warehousing application; (3) Developing LINUX and UNIX shell scripts to automate the processes and perform day-to-day activities; (4) Designing and developing ETL/DB components in an agile environment utilizing a test-driven development approach; (5) Utilizing scheduling tools including Control-M and Cron for job automation and scheduling, coupled with version control tools with GitLab and Team Foundation Server; and (6) Utilizing ticket management system including ServiceNow and Jira.

WORK HOURS:         Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week [8:00 am to 5:00 pm]

PAY RANGE:             $139,942.00 to $158,100.00 per year
