About the role:

As a Senior Deployment Engineer, you will work on an engineering team to build and automate our continuous integration/delivery platform. You will collaborate with teams in Product Engineering, Analytics, and Technology Platform to facilitate software delivery across the entire Technology organization. In addition to supporting our current build/test systems, you will research and recommend new tooling to improve the speed and scale of our CI/CD platform.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work in a team environment, building and supporting our continuous delivery platform
  • Work across functions (development, deployment, and infrastructure) and projects to ensure continuous operation of build and testing platforms
  • Actively participate in the design, implementation, and rollout of new frameworks and tools to accelerate our software delivery
  • Design and develop features for development, testing, and build environments
  • Work to continuously improve speed, efficiency and scalability of our CI/CD pipelines
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve complex problems related to code deployments
  • Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organization's Agile project life-cycle
  • Lead projects independently or as part of a group to ensure their success
  • Automation will be a key focus of the role

 We’re excited about you if you have:

  • 3+ years of experience building and maintaining Continuous Integration and Delivery Pipelines
  • 3+ years of Linux systems administration
  • Experience with Groovy, Ruby, Python and/or bash scripting
  • Ability to manage highly available CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, CircleCI and similar technologies
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
  • A strong understanding of the problems and considerations of scaling a distributed microservices platform
  • A passion for expanding personal knowledge and staying on the cutting edge of technology
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

 Nice to have:

    • Experience with Configuration Management tools (Ansible, Chef, or similar)
    • Amazon Web Services or other cloud infrastructure expertise
    • Infrastructure as Code experience in Terraform or similar
    • Experience with Ruby on Rails, Go, Java, and PostgreSQL
