Position Summary:We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Designer, Women’s Dresses to join our BCBG Dresses team. This role will play a critical part in supporting the Design Director in creating a competitive and brand-right dress assortment that balances trend, creativity, and commercial success. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with strong design and communication skills, a passion for contemporary women’s fashion, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:Partner with the Design Director to build the BCBG Dresses collection from initial research and sketching through final approved prototypes.
Conduct seasonal trend, fabric, trim, color, and market research; identify key inspiration styles to guide line development.
Create sketches, CADs, and technical packages with a strong understanding of garment construction, drape, and fit.
Develop fashion-forward dress collections that reflect the BCBG brand aesthetic while supporting seasonal merchandising objectives.
Support development of first samples and ensure timely delivery to meet market deadlines.
Collaborate with design, production, merchandising, technical design, and sales teams to ensure design integrity and commercial viability.
Assist in sourcing seasonal fabrics, trims, and embellishments while communicating with overseas offices regarding development status and approvals.
Attend fittings, review style lines, fit, proportion, and construction, and implement revisions as needed.
Maintain strong organizational skills while managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Bachelor’s or technical degree in Fashion Design or related field.
5–7 years of professional apparel design experience, with a focus on contemporary women’s dresses.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Strong hand sketching and computer design skills.
Deep understanding of garment construction, draping, fit, and the product development process.
Experience working with overseas factories and vendors.
Strong trend awareness and ability to interpret commercially viable ideas.
Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and presentation skills.

The pay range for this position is: $105,000 – $150,000 per year.
