Chase Design Group has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented Senior Designer to join a growing team in our New York studio!

As part of this team, you will be involved in all aspects of the creative work including: research, idea generation, concept exploration, design development and finalization. We are looking for designers who will help to maintain our high creative bar with a broad range of skills that can be applied with a can-do attitude. Strong ideas are imperative. A keen eye for detail and exceptional typography and illustration skills are also required.

This role is Hybrid and is expected to be in the NYC studio at least 1-2 days / week.

Responsibilities

• Be involved in all aspects of the creative work in our NY office including research, idea generation, concept exploration, design development and finalization

• Be a design guardian for the brands we work upon, ensuring colour, type and visual equities follow standards

• Deliver high quality, well-considered design solutions that helps to meet our clients’ objectives

• Deliver both strong ideas and a high level of craftsmanship across all elements of design

• Have a good understanding of the creative process from brief to production

• Organize and maintain design files and master assets as needed

• Maintain the agency’s standards of creative excellence, timeliness, and profitability

• Support the team when managing external specialists e.g. illustrators, visualizer

• Help to maintain an atmosphere of inspiration and collaboration and, in time, help to mentor the younger creative team


Requirements

• 4+ years experience in CPG packaging branding and identity, with a strong portfolio to match

• Strong skills in key Adobe software (Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator)

• A good understanding of the print process and technology

• Strong communication skills, excellent organizational skills and an eye for detail

• A degree in fine arts or graphic design

• Bring big ideas and clear thinking to meet our clients challenges in a uniquely creative way

• Have pride in crafting the finest detail with evidence of exemplary typographic and image making skills

• Be able to talk passionately and knowledgeably about the work

• Be a self-starting, multifaceted designer who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and clients

Base Salary Range: 90k - 110k
