Design, build, and support AWS infrastructure and Amazon EKS clusters; develop Terraform IaC and GitHub Actions CI/CD; migrate Jenkins pipelines; support production deployments, monitoring, incident response, and documentation during a large-scale migration.
Project Overview
The project involves a large-scale platform separation and migration program. The engineer will join an established DevOps team to build, migrate, and support a new standalone AWS environment hosting multiple production applications and services.
This is a hands-on role focused on AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes (Amazon EKS), Terraform-based Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD modernization (GitHub Actions and Jenkins migration), and production platform support throughout the migration lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and support AWS-based infrastructure.
- Build and operate Amazon EKS clusters across Development, QA, and Production environments.
- Administer and troubleshoot Kubernetes platforms.
- Develop and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
- Migrate existing Jenkins pipelines to GitHub Actions.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
- Support containerized application deployments.
- Assist with Karpenter implementation and node provisioning strategies.
- Support monitoring, alerting, incident response, and production operations.
- Collaborate with application teams during migration and deployment activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on AWS experience (IAM, networking, security, multi-account environments).
- Strong Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting experience in production environments.
- Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Experience migrating or modernizing CI/CD platforms.
- Strong Terraform expertise, including reusable modules and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Linux administration skills.
- Production support experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- English - Upper-Intermediate or higher
