We are seeking a Senior Director – Account Management to lead strategic private label customer partnerships across the Men's and Kids' apparel categories. This role will serve as the primary business partner for key retail customers, driving business growth, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. Working closely with Design, Merchandising, Sourcing, Production, Technical Design, and global teams, the Senior Director will oversee the end-to-end execution of customer programs while identifying new business opportunities and strengthening long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for key private label customer across the Men's and Kids' apparel categories.
- Develop and execute account strategies that support customer objectives, revenue growth, profitability, and long-term business expansion.
- Lead customer meetings, business reviews, seasonal line presentations, and strategic planning discussions.
- Partner closely with Design, Merchandising, Technical Design, Sourcing, Production, and global teams to ensure successful execution of customer programs from concept through final delivery.
- Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, ensuring products are delivered on time, within cost targets, and meet customer quality expectations.
- Manage customer calendars, critical paths, and key milestones while proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions.
- Drive pricing, margin, and cost discussions in partnership with sourcing and production teams.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing business and support new category growth within assigned customer accounts.
- Monitor sales performance, market trends, and customer initiatives to develop strategic recommendations and drive business results.
- Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop Account Management team members while fostering collaboration across cross-functional and global teams.
- Travel as needed to customer meetings, market appointments, vendor visits, and industry events.
Role Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Account Management, Sales, Merchandising, Product Development, or Sourcing within the apparel industry.
- Proven experience managing large national retail accounts, preferably supporting private label Men's and/or Kids' apparel.
- Strong understanding of apparel product development, sourcing, manufacturing, costing, and supply chain operations.
- Demonstrated success building executive-level customer relationships and growing strategic accounts.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple product categories and complex customer initiatives.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze customer needs, identify opportunities, and develop strategic business solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while managing multiple priorities.
Compensation/Benefits:
- The approximate annual base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $240,000, which can vary based on role requirements, skill set, and years of experience.
