We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Director, Product Manager to join our Global Payments and Trade Client Platform team. This role is located in New York City, NY.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Develop, lead, and execute the strategic vision for International Payments FX and Next Gen Payments Products; own the overall FX Payments Products roadmap and P&L, and the Next Gen payments product roadmap P&L and align teams around delivery goals.
- Accelerate the successful product delivery of BNY’s FX Payments Products such as the move to 24 x 7 payments by collaborating with markets team to improve FX cut off times and tenors, defining commercial payments feature functionality for instructed FX payments, optimizing client experience for Rules Based FX by leveraging AI, and commercializing FX receipts solutions.
- Ideate, Design, Explore, and commercialize Digital Asset and Digital Asset related payment products in collaboration with the innovation team, roll out alternative payment rails such as wallet partnerships, and drive innovation in leveraging emerging technologies, innovative partnerships, and industry initiatives.
- Lead commercialization efforts and product rollouts with delivery teams to ensure adoption and commercial success.
- Manage a group of product managers and provide leadership support and coaching, definition of goals and Key Results, and talent management.
- Accountable for all risks originated from services delivered (including remediation efforts) & owns, manage and aggregate’s view of risk across Product/Platform.
- Continuously groom & reprioritize pod backlogs, provide strategic input & decisioning, manage & reduce blockers, & ensure continuous flow of product work.
- Collaborate with Product / Platform Leadership to share progress, flag challenges, and codify lessons learned.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Minimum of 15 years of demonstrated ability in product development, management, and delivery.
- Proficiency in OKR, Design Thinking, Event Storming, prototyping, iterative development, Scrum, and Agile product development
- Domain expertise in FX Payments and FX markets business, International payments clearing, related payment rails, and correspondent banking inclusive of Swift and ISO20022 CBPR+
- Expertise in emerging payments rails, partners, and use cases, such as Digital Asset (Stable Coin, Tokenized Deposits, CBDC, etc), Pay-to-Wallet, Instant Payment interoperability, and industry initiatives such as Project Agora and Swift Digital Ledger.
- Passion for changing status quo and driving out-of-the-box ideas.
- Eagerness to ‘roll up the sleeves’ in execution and learning; pushes the team to do the same.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills.
- Ability to make hard and fast decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline.

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
