Job Description:

The Senior Director of Marketing Effectiveness for Social is an innovative role that combines deep social experience, and analytics rigor. This role will focus on creating best practices for social analytics, setting the agency outlook on social measurement, and honing our approach to connecting paid, organic, creator and ecommerce measurement across all social platforms. Also, partner with internal and external stakeholders to give input on product creation, beta and alpha opportunities and thought leadership. This role will uniquely sit between Marketing Effectiveness and Social, reporting into Marketing Effectiveness leadership with a dotted line into the head of Next Gen Social.

Job Responsibilities:
 

Leadership & Measurement Strategy

  • Works closely with Social leadership and Marketing Effectiveness to create a simplified scalable and repeatable measurement approach for all social channels.

  • Consult with client teams on social measurement best practices, test design and partner capabilities.

  • Partner with external social partners to bring alpha and beta opportunities to client teams.

  • Collaborate with capability and partnership leadership to identify and evaluate social and creator measurement solutions to enable the developed NGS approach.

  • Ensure Social and Marketing Effectiveness team is aware of social partner measurement changes and potential implications.

  • Maintains positive, collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders and clients.

  • Exhibits strong analytical, project management, storytelling and communication skills.

  • Participate in new business efforts to enable business growth and development (new and existing accounts).

  • Assists with local and national department initiatives.

  • Sets the vision/strategy for a next gen social measurement approach.

  • Authors white papers, POVs and other industry thought capital; Functions as SME in a Social Analytics

  • Defines project deliverables, timelines and dependencies (team members, internal stakeholders, clients).

Team & Client Engagement

  • Packages deliverables in an articulate, easy-to-understand format with a clear storyline that addresses client business needs.

  • Understands the client’s business and develops innovative problem-solving approaches; presents deliverables that articulate business value/impact.

  • Contributes to the success of other team members by providing training, knowledge sharing and best practices.

Qualifications: ​

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science or related quantitative field

  • 10+ years in a quantitative business environment

  • 5+ years in marketing analytics with knowledge of the media planning process specifically social

  • Experience with all social platforms and their attribution approach (Meta, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, Pinterest and Snap)

  • Exposure to mobile, social, tablet measurement approaches as well as understanding of role of attribution and paths to conversions

  • Advanced media measurement capabilities (i.e.MMM, MTA), and planning A/B and Match Market testing

  • Experience in data visualization (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Datorama)

  • Advanced in SQL, Python, or R

  • Experience with digital tracking, including knowledge of limitations and advantages

  • Advanced MS Office Skills (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

The annual salary range for this position is $150,750 -$190,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.

Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs.
