Job Description

Develops and provides strategic direction in the implementation of current and long-term HR goals and objectives for all aspects of HR impacting engagement and service excellence. Collaborates with stakeholders and the leadership to ensure the initiatives mirror best practices. Educates people leaders across the organization to enable them to be more effective leaders.

Job Responsibility

  • Leads an HR group with larger portfolios by communicating with and developing staff members, and building consensus for programs and goals that support leaders within a business unit, function, or geographic area. 
  • Provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to senior leadership teams in the development and implementation of programs and initiatives. 
  • Develops and articulates a short-term strategic vision for areas of responsibility. 
  • Directs and oversees all operations within the organization's human resource’s function. 
  • Development and implementation large scale strategic projects and business outcomes. 
  • Develops and implements organizational human resources policies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legislation (including EEO, FMLA, and FLSA). 
  • Evaluates and selects HR-related vendors or service providers. 
  • Assists senior and executive leadership regarding strategic human resources strategies to accomplish long-range objectives. 
  • Has extensive experience with the concepts and principles of one or more related fields or departments. 
  • Leads and directs the work of other team members and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination. 
  • Develops strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function in collaboration with the leadership. 
  • Implements strategic departmental policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.

Job Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. 
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of leadership / management experience, required. 
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience, preferred.
