You will be responsible for helping to define and execute on a holistic strategy across both Clover and Carat platforms to grow existing and new products that drive sustainable revenue growth over the next 5 years. The role will evaluate market forecast and long-term trends, collect competitive intelligence, drive cross-functional business processes, and maintain business model innovation.  The role will actively engage and partner with Finance, Product Management and Technology to ensure the success of priority business initiatives.

What you will do:

  • Identifying / accessing and acting on a comprehensive build / buy / partner strategy to accelerate growth of the business.  This Includes identifying and driving key products / innovations where we can differentiate and provide meaningful value for both SMB’s and Enterprise clients.

  • Working cross functionally to identify optimal business development, sales, commercialization, implementation framework / operating model to drive faster growth of key products.

  • Building robust business cases, market intelligence, etc. to help the team identify emerging trends and prioritize opportunities and key initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain timely, relevant business / market intelligence and product KPI reporting.

  • Managing / owning key strategic initiatives and products as assigned.

  • Leveraging data and analytics to prioritize investments and track performance.

  • Ideal on-ramp for future product P&L / GM leader

Critical Skills

  • Strategic Leadership - This successful candidate will be able to provide quality recommendations for problems that might not even be defined, by understanding and analyzing complex issues

  • Client Focus – The position holder will understand that the Business Leaders are their clients. This person must be able to manage expectations and lead a team to drive results while working with very demanding stakeholders.

  • Collaboration & Influencing - This person must utilize communication skills to effectively influence across functions and business units as well as across different leadership levels

What you need to have:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required; MBA is strongly preferred

  • 8+ years’ experience, with significant specific experience in the strategic planning & business development dimensions of role as defined.

  • Ability to synthesize complex data to deliver recommendations at executive levels

  • Broad general management mindset and strong business and analytical acumen

  • Ability to work and influence in a complex cross functional environment

  • Proven experience building relationships with external and internal stakeholders, across all levels of the business

  • Outstanding presentation, influencing and communication abilities

  • Entrepreneurial / strategic mindset and demonstrable experience building and transforming a businesses and its products.

  • Experience in Financial Services/Payments strongly preferred

Travel Required: up to 30%

Salary Range

$155,000.00 - $258,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
