New York, NYCondé Nast is seeking a strategic marketing planning and analytics leader to drive forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning for our global consumer subscription business. This role will serve as the central partner to Marketing, Growth, and Brand teams—owning the financial and subscriber outlook across our portfolio of subscription brands and ensuring that acquisition, retention, and revenue strategies are grounded in rigorous analytics.
The ideal candidate blends marketing performance expertise with strong financial modeling skills, translating subscriber behavior and campaign performance into forward-looking business strategy.
This position reports to the Vice President of Consumer Analytics.
Responsibilities
Marketing Forecasting & Growth Planning
Lead volume and revenue forecasting process for subscriber acquisition and retention, and evaluate lifetime value across multiple brands and marketing channels.
Lead the marketing-driven components of the annual budget, quarterly reforecasting and long-range plan (LRP), ensuring alignment between investment levels, performance targets, and financial outcomes.
Develop models that connect marketing spend, channel performance, conversion, churn, pricing, and ARPU to overall revenue and P&L impact.
Partner with Growth, Paid Marketing, CRM, Site, Brand, Finance and Operations teams to translate marketing plans into actionable subscriber and revenue forecasts.
Provide scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to guide spend allocation, promotional strategy, and investment decisions.
Subscription Analytics & KPI Leadership
Lead subscription performance narrative across brands, synthesizing marketing and retention performance into strategic insights.
Lead retention and revenue reporting, including KPI benchmarking and standardized templates across markets.
Maintain marketing performance frameworks that clearly connect CAC, LTV, churn, payback, and contribution margin to overall business health.
Define measurable objectives and critical metrics for acquisition, engagement, and retention, ensuring alignment with revenue and subscriber growth goals.
Executive Reporting & Strategic Influence
Prepare executive-level reports for weekly, monthly, and quarterly leadership updates, translating data into clear business implications.
Provide strategic insights on campaign performance, channel mix, audience targeting, and lifecycle marketing initiatives.
Serve as a thought partner to senior marketing leadership, influencing long-term growth strategy and resource prioritization.
Modeling, Automation & Data Infrastructure
Build and automate statistical and financial models to improve forecast accuracy and marketing planning efficiency.
Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and enhance data infrastructure for marketing analytics.
Leverage SQL, Python, or R to extract, manipulate, and model large-scale subscriber and marketing data.
Partner with data and analytics teams to improve forecasting inputs and marketing measurement methodologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
8-10 years of experience in marketing analytics, growth analytics, FP&A, or consulting; subscription-based experience is a plus.
Strong understanding of marketing performance metrics (CAC, LTV, Churn, ARPU) and financial forecasting principles.
Experience supporting budgeting and long-range planning processes.
Strong SQL skills, with proficiency in Python or R a plus.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
The expected base salary range for this position is from $160,000-$200,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also be eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation.
