Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional Chief of Staff to partner closely with the SVP/GM of Venmo. This individual will serve as a strategic thought partner, helping translate bold vision into disciplined execution across one of fintech’s most iconic consumer brands.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and articulate a clear, compelling vision and strategy for the business operations of aligned organization.
  • Provide key inputs as an industry leader and expert.
  • Drive long-term success strategy of the function in partnership with functional leaders.
  • Ensure strategic objectives are met and resources are effectively allocated.
  • Provide oversight and support for planning and management of financial, budget, and headcount targets.
  • Act as a liaison between business leadership, staff, and other key partners.
  • Develop and oversee Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) addressing gaps in business and operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 12+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Position 

We are seeking an exceptional Chief of Staff to partner closely with the SVP/GM of Venmo. This individual will serve as a strategic thought partner, helping translate bold vision into disciplined execution across one of fintech’s most iconic consumer brands.


In this role, the Chief of Staff will drive both strategy and execution, with a focus on board preparation, OKRs, and quarterly business reviews. They will work cross-functionally with leaders across product, engineering, design, marketing, partnerships, legal, finance, and operations to ensure alignment and momentum against key priorities.


Responsibilities

 

  • Drive strategic clarity and lead business planning processes

  • Own key strategic initiatives and ensure strong cross-functional execution

  • Develop and manage OKRs to drive alignment across strategic and operational priorities

  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation

  • Enable leadership team effectiveness and support executive communications

  • Champion organizational health, culture, and talent development

 

Qualifications

 

  • 12+ years of experience in high-growth technology or fintech across product strategy, customer strategy, GTM, or general management

  • Broad, cross-functional expertise spanning customer insights, pricing, segmentation, GTM, product development, and business economics

  • Strong operational rigor with the ability to structure ambiguity, synthesize complex data, and translate strategy into measurable OKRs

  • Demonstrated trajectory toward general management, with experience supporting senior executives or leading teams/functions

  • Exceptional communication and influence skills, with the ability to craft executive narratives and deliver high-impact presentations

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:

Primary Location | Pay Range:

New York City, New York | ($196,500.00 - $291,500.00 Annually)

Additional Location(s) | Pay Range:

San Jose, California | ($196,500.00 - $291,500.00 Annually)

Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
