Provides technology leadership for the design, implementation, and operation of Marriott International’s DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering capabilities in a fast-paced, mission critical environment.
Responsible for advancing platform reliability, scalability, and delivery velocity through DevOps practices, CI/CD (Harness), observability (Dynatrace), and resilient infrastructure aligned to enterprise architecture principles.
Leads globally distributed teams across onshore and offshore models while driving continuous improvement in automation, observability, and operations.
Responsibility also includes AI Operations (AIOps and AI platform reliability), with responsibility for the operationalization, monitoring, and governance of AI-driven systems, including custom agents and workflows. Establishes best practices for managing AI system lifecycles, leveraging tools such as Temporal for orchestration and integrating observability frameworks to ensure reliability, traceability, and performance of AI-enabled services across digital.
CANDIDATE PROFILE Required- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 10+ years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering
- 5+ years leading multiple teams across onshore and offshore delivery models
- Proven ability to recruit, build, and scale engineering teams
- Experience managing offshore vendors and partners
- Experience with CI/CD tools at scale and understand ways to optimize their performance
- Experience with observability platforms such as Dynatrace
- Expertise in production operations and incident management
- Experience managing large-scale digital platforms
- Experience managing budgets >$2M
- Experience with SRE practices (SLIs, SLOs)
- Experience with a micro-service and micro-UI architecture
- Experience with strict performance budgets
- Experience with Harness
- Experience with AI tool chains like Langchain and/or Temporal, et al
- Experience using MCP/AI tools to drive automations (JIRA MCP, SonarQube), Cursor etc
- Infrastructure as code experience
- Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies
- CI/CD transformation leadership
- Familiarity with AIOps
- Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)

Facilitates compliance with standard tools and processes across SDLC including:
- CI/CD pipelines and automation (Harness)
- Deployment and release orchestration
- Observability and monitoring standards (Dynatrace)
Monitors adherence to defined processes and identifies opportunities for improvement
Communicates policies and improvements across IT and service providers
Managing Day-To-Day Relationships with Teams- Manages technology initiatives in partnership with IT teams, business partners, and providers
- Leads cross-team coordination to ensure delivery meets client expectations
- Drives timely resolution of service delivery issues
- Manages service level reporting and performance
- Ensures alignment with business case and portfolio priorities
- Manages vendor relationships and validates SLA performance
- Builds and leads globally distributed teams across onshore and offshore locations
- Owns recruiting, hiring, and scaling of DevOps and SRE teams
- Develops leadership bench and technical depth across teams
- Manages offshore partners and aligns delivery to enterprise standards
- Drives adoption of DevOps and SRE maturity models
- Measures performance using reliability and delivery metrics
- Implements continuous improvement based on feedback and operational data
