Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, Independent Film Company, Sundance TV and We TV; and film distribution labels Independent Film Company and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.

We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - Programming Finance to join our Global FP&A team based in our New York, NY office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Budget and forecasting management for programming investments of targeted streaming services, with ownership of content slate, amortization, and cash 
  • Prepare budget and forecast decks for senior leadership 
  • Manage the month end close reporting, analyze results versus forecast, and provide senior management with commentary and risks and opportunities to financial plan  
  • Data analysis and data quality management  
  • Continually review finance processes/reporting to improve overall efficiency and accuracy 
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and financial analysis as needed  
  • Partner with broader Finance and Business Intelligence teams to define and track content related KPI’s for each streaming service 

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred) 

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience 
  • Experience working in the media and entertainment industry is preferred but not required 
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with reporting and data analysis 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail  
  • Ability to multitask, problem solve and effectively prioritize one's workload 

The base compensation for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 commensurate with experience. AMC Networks additionally offers a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Paid Time Off, Paid Parental Leave and Adoption Services, among other benefit plan options, subject to eligibility requirements.
