Combining an understanding of finance, practical knowledge of financial statements and using data to make-and-drive decisions, this candidate will perform various financial planning and analysis processes to support key strategic decisions, drive Chewy Healthcare growth, and ensure financial objectives are achieved.
What You'll Do:
- Perform modeling and analytics required to synthesize large sets of data and produce concise outputs to deliver business insights, reporting and analyses, and recommendations and/or conclusions to leadership
- Aid in the reporting and financial performance management frameworks for the business and help define key metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall business performance
- Work cross-functionally with the broader Finance team, the Healthcare Merchandising team, Product team, Marketing, Supply Chain and Accounting to fully understand the business, its customers, and overall operations
- Actively participate in the strategic planning, target setting, and annual/quarterly planning processes
- Oversee the monthly close process ensuring books and records are accurately maintained in accordance with Chewy's policies and procedures
- Pursue continuous improvement in all areas of the business with an emphasis on Merchandising, Operations, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Finance
- Effectively manage numerous projects at a given time in a fast-paced environment
What You'll Need:
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management or Economics
- 3+ years relevant finance experience with a basic understanding of GAAP and grasp of financial statements
- Financial analysis and modeling skills, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis
- Advanced Excel (i.e. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint skills
- Experience with SQL coding, Hyperion Smartview, Tableau, Oracle ERP
- Ability to think creatively, work independently and as part of a team to solve problems given limited resources and time, have a strong work ethic, and adhere to deadlines
- Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities
- Strong written and oral communication skills
