Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented FP&A Analyst to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and assist with monthly and quarterly closing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, modeling, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and tax filings.
- Support internal audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
Accounting Operations
- Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Perform account reconciliations and review journal entries to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording of acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
- Perform other projects as assigned.
Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.
- Assist in variance analysis and management reporting.
- Assist with various finance-related projects, such as system implementations, process automation, and policy enhancements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Master’s degree preferred but not required.
- Experience:
- 4 -5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet).
- Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
