What You'll Do
In this role, you'll work with engineering teams to support the initiatives of Flatiron's Core Tech organization. The role will be responsible for building our Internal Developer Portal leveraging Backstage with our guiding north star: Developers no longer need to write Infrastructure as Code.
- Assist in gathering requirements from Machine Learning, Data Science and Engineering teams to inform capability requirements
- Serve as a technical resource for developer teams, project managers, and analysts.
- Collaborate with development teams to highlight and resolve problems with systems
- Participate in design reviews and work with developers to improve or troubleshoot backstage templates
- Work with other Platform teams to integrate Paved Pathways into Backstage
- Work closely with security engineers to ensure security is in accordance with compliance policies set by Flatiron, HIPAA, or other authorities
- Ensure appropriate documentation is developed and maintained relative to our IDP capabilities.

Who You Are
You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who values the opportunity to think beyond the way things are. In addition:
- You have 5+ years of Javascript programming experience
- You have experience building out an IDP by leveraging Backstage
- You have experience provisioning and maintaining cloud-hosted environments in Amazon Web Services with Terraform
- You have experience programming React (or other Javascript frameworks)
- You have experience setting and maintaining service level objectives and service level indicators around enterprise platforms
- You have experience participating in incident response and engineering on-call rotations
- You have experience administrating EKS and EKS Applications

- Experience with Gitlab as a CI/CD platform
- Experience with Spacelift.io
