As a Senior GIS Project Manager with Resource Data, you'll manage projects to develop and design geospatial data and geospatial solutions that elevate enterprise geospatial systems efficiency, performance, and value. You’ll join a team of technical consultants to provide solutions for our clients' most challenging enterprise geospatial problems. You’ll coordinate between internal GIS and development teams and client project teams to build integrated web mapping applications across major enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops project charters, budgets, plans, and overall scope for GIS web applications, automated workflows, and databases
  • Liaise between client and internal project teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of defined scopes and budget
  • Lead and direct teams of GIS programmers, analysts, software developers, business analysts, testers, and architects to deliver on client projects
  • Mitigate risks and proactively identify and resolve project issues
  • Collaborate with the GIS Community of Practice to mentor junior analysts, participate in technical working/learning sessions, and develop internal GIS initiatives

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience leading software development projects on Agile teams
  • 5+ years' experience with geospatial data management, development, and maintenance
  • Experience working with ESRI suite of GIS products such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, or other GIS tools
  • Proven ability to manage projects with $100k+ budgets
  • Proficiency with project management planning and reporting tools
  • Experience writing user stories and gathering technical requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years' experience in a client-facing role
  • Proficient with complex GIS concepts such as Geometric Networks, Topology, Spatial Joins, Spatial Projections
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Federal consulting experience a plus
