Senior Graphic Designer, Visual Merchandising & Packaging Design

Bubble is building the future of mass skincare, clinically credible, community-driven, and culturally relevant. As we scale across retail and product, we’re looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to help bring Bubble to life on shelf and through packaging with clarity, creativity, and consistency.
What You’ll Do
You will lead the design and development of innovative, brand-elevating packaging and and in-store experiences across major US and global retailers. Reporting to the Executive Creative Director and Senior Director of Visual Merchandising, this role blends hands-on creative execution with cross-functional collaboration to bring new product launches, campaigns, and seasonal initiatives to life.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Visual Merchandising
- Design and execute 2D graphics for in-store environments, including endcaps, shelf trays, signage, seasonal displays, PDQs, and bespoke retail fixtures
- Translate brand strategy, campaigns, and product launches into retail-ready designs aligned with retailer guidelines
- Partner closely with the 3D VM team to ensure graphics integrate seamlessly with fixtures and environments
- Support the development and maintenance of global VM design systems and guidelines
- Create planograms, mockups, and presentations for internal teams and retail partners
- Collaborate with sales and VM leadership to pitch concepts and refine designs based on feedback
- Prepare, organize, and release final production files to regional partners
- Review prototypes, printed samples, and guide projects through final production
- Stay current on retail, beauty, and fashion trends to continuously elevate in-store storytelling and shopper engagement
Packaging Design
- Design eye-catching, functional packaging for new products, PR boxes, collaborations, and updates to existing lines
- Collaborate with Creative, Design, and Industrial Design teams on packaging systems and explorations
- Prepare production-ready mechanical files, including dielines, materials, and color specifications
- Oversee color accuracy and print quality across substrates and formats
- Maintain consistency and scalability across packaging SKUs while ensuring regulatory compliance
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in visual merchandising, retail design, and packaging/print design, ideally in beauty or CPG
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating retail displays and large-format print production
- Deep understanding of retail environments, fixture integration, and graphic storytelling
- Experience working with retailer specifications, planograms, dielines, and production files
- High taste level, exceptional attention to detail, and strong typographic skills
- Excellent project and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume, in-office and remote environment
- Strong communication skills and openness to feedback
- Knowledge of packaging materials, print processes, and vendor handoff best practices
- Experience with SketchUp or Rhino is a plus
