Position Overview
The Senior Graphic Designer serves as the lead designer for multiple brands, overseeing the day-to-day creative process in a fast-paced environment. This experienced professional will manage multiple Print and Digital projects, ensuring they are completed on time and to the highest standard. Reporting to the Studio Manager, the Senior Graphic Designer will:

  • Prioritize and manage project workflows, ensuring deadlines are met across multiple assignments.
  • Oversee and contribute to the layout, mechanical preparation, quality control, prepress, and file release for several brands.
  • Attend status and hot sheet meetings, reporting project progress, timelines, and milestones to the Studio Manager.
  • Collaborate within a team structure, acting as a partner to team members and providing support or coverage for other Brand Leads when needed.
  • Maintain the highest standards and utilize the latest processes for all digital, print, and collateral materials produced.
  • Monitor the quality of finished mechanical and digital art, as well as conceptual materials produced by both internal and freelance Art Directors.
  • Review final designs, finished art, and conceptual materials to ensure adherence to brand guidelines and supervise any necessary alterations or corrections.
  • Report to the Studio Manager on departmental affairs, including any design-related hardware, software, or training needs.
  • Identify and resolve potential issues that may lead to crises, minimizing the likelihood of recurrence.
  • Oversee server structure and ensure proper archiving.
  • Collaborate with Print Production to develop Spec Sheets.
  • Create schematics and comps for projects as needed.
  • Consult with the Studio Manager, Account Service, Project Management, and other agency teams to ensure the successful completion of agency objectives.
  • Stay current in file preparation techniques and industry standards through continuous personal development.
  • Research clients’ industries to gain a deeper understanding of their businesses.
  • Be prepared to work beyond standard hours when business needs require it.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with advanced skills in design software. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow and adapt to changing deadlines and project requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Proven ability to multitask, manage stress, and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong ability to maintain brand identity across projects.
  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as job demands.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 

The salary range provided is for the NYC-hybrid position, which requires occasional in-office presence, and represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at BGB. For candidates in other locations, salary will be adjusted to reflect local market rates. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need. Salary is only one component of the total rewards package offered at BGB Group.
