About HighriseHighrise is a digital fashion platform with millions of players who live and breathe style. We're in the business of fashion, it just happens to be digital. Identity, self-expression, and taste are at the core of everything we build. Our players notice the difference between good and great, and so do we.
The RoleWe're looking for one of the best illustrative graphic designers in the world. This is not a traditional graphic design role.
We're specifically looking for someone with strong artistic fundamentals, character-focused visual development skills, and the ability to create highly illustrative work at an elite level. You should understand anatomy, composition, lighting, shading, perspective, material rendering, and visual storytelling instinctively. You should also be deeply fluent in modern AI-assisted workflows, knowing not only how to generate strong work quickly, but how to identify, correct, and refine AI artifacts and inconsistencies to achieve a polished final result.
You'll own the visual output that defines how Highrise looks and feels, and you'll set the creative standard for the rest of the team. This is a high-output, high-autonomy role with a daily and weekly shipping cadence. Speed and quality are both non-negotiable, and the bar for both is extremely high. If you're the kind of designer who thrives under that pressure and does their best work when the stakes are real, this is the role for you.
What You'll DoDesign original character art, promotional assets, and campaign visuals at the level of quality shown in our Drip Drop series, daily and weekly
Concept and execute across the full pipeline, from ideation to final delivery
Leverage every tool available to you to maintain exceptional quality at speed
Own creative direction for the broader design team, setting the visual bar, reviewing work, and giving sharp, actionable feedback that raises everyone's output
Push the visual identity of Highrise forward with your own creative instincts
Create highly illustrative graphic work with a strong understanding of anatomy, lighting, composition, shading, material rendering, and visual storytelling
A portfolio that is genuinely world-class, the kind of work that stands on its own with no explanation needed
This is not a traditional graphic design role. We expect strong artistic fundamentals and character-focused visual development skills
Deep understanding of anatomy, form, perspective, lighting, color, composition, and fashion styling
Strong ability to identify, correct, and refine AI-generated artifacts and inconsistencies
Mastery of AI-assisted creative workflows. You know how to use AI tools intentionally, efficiently, and tastefully rather than relying on them blindly
A genuine eye for fashion and style, you follow the culture, you have opinions, and it shows in your work
Mastery across the full design tool chain (Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, Midjourney, or whatever gets you to the best result)
The ability to produce exceptional work fast. Speed and quality are both held to an extremely high standard, there is no tradeoff between the two
Experience directing other designers, giving feedback, setting standards, and elevating a team's output
Complete self-direction and ownership, you define the standard, you don't wait for it
Background in fashion design or industrial design is a strong plus
Experience in games, entertainment, or digital goods is a strong plus
Top-of-market compensation, we pay what it takes to work with the best
High agency, high expectation, high reward
A small, high-trust team where your work has real visibility and impact
The creative freedom to do the best work of your career
