Trayd, in one sentence

Trayd is building the operating system for commercial construction: payroll, compliance, and back office workflows that actually work in the real world.

Construction is one of the largest industries in North America, yet much of the software that runs it is outdated, manual, and fragile. Companies spend hours every week reconciling payroll, tracking job costs, and managing compliance across disconnected systems. The consequences of mistakes are real. Workers do not get paid correctly. Businesses lose time and money. Stress compounds.

We are changing that.

We help subcontractors run payroll, manage workers, and operate their businesses with confidence. That means onboarding is not a checkbox process. It is a critical moment where customers trust us with their data, their workflows, and their business operations.

We are in the next phase of growth, with accelerating customer demand and a platform that runs real payroll every week, and we are scaling the team to match it.

Trayd is based in New York and backed by Y Combinator.

The role

We are hiring a senior implementation analyst to lead complex enterprise customer launches onto Trayd.

This role is designed for someone who thrives in high-stakes, ambiguous environments and can operate as both a project leader and strategic problem solver. You will work with larger, more complex customers where implementations involve multiple stakeholders, legacy systems, edge cases, and operational change.

You will own implementations end to end, serve as a trusted advisor to customers, and partner closely with product and engineering to solve problems that do not have obvious answers.

This is not a narrow project management role. It requires judgment, ownership, and the ability to navigate both technical and business complexity.

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary leader and point of accountability for enterprise customer implementations from kickoff through successful launch.
  • Build strong relationships with customer executives, payroll leaders, and operations teams, establishing trust and confidence throughout the process.
  • Diagnose complex operational workflows and translate them into scalable solutions within Trayd.
  • Lead large data migrations involving payroll history, workforce data, and financial information with high accuracy requirements.
  • Navigate ambiguity and unexpected challenges, coordinating with engineering and product to resolve issues quickly.
  • Manage timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations across multiple teams and priorities.
  • Support customers through critical milestones including first payroll runs and post-launch stabilization.
  • Identify gaps in product or process and drive improvements that benefit future implementations.
  • Mentor junior implementation team members and help elevate the overall function as we scale.

Why this role is different

  • High-impact customers. You will work with larger companies where implementations matter deeply to their operations.
  • Real ownership. You are accountable for outcomes, not just tasks.
  • Strategic influence. You will shape how implementations work at Trayd as the company grows.
  • Complex problem solving. Enterprise customers bring real-world edge cases that require creativity and judgment.
  • Leadership opportunity. This role naturally evolves toward team leadership or broader operational roles.
  • In-person team. We work together in Soho five days a week because speed and collaboration matter.

Who you are

  • You have 4-7 years of experience in implementation, consulting, customer success, or operations roles, ideally in SaaS or technology-enabled services.
  • You are comfortable leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders and moving parts.
  • You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior customer stakeholders.
  • You are highly organized and detail-oriented while still able to operate strategically.
  • You have strong problem-solving skills and are comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • You are comfortable working with data and have strong Excel skills
  • You take ownership and drive outcomes even when problems are messy or unclear.
  • You are NYC-based or ready to relocate quickly.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SQL or data analysis tools.
  • Experience with payroll, financial systems, ERP, or compliance-heavy software.
  • Experience in startup or high-growth environments.

Working style

This is an in-person role in SoHo, five days a week. We move quickly, collaborate constantly, and value people who take initiative and ownership.

If you want to work on complex, high-impact customer problems while helping build a category-defining company, you will fit here.
