Main Purpose of the Role

Welocalize is looking for an English (en-US) into Indonesian (id-ID) senior reviewer with experience in the field of Marketing, UI and Support related documents.

This is an on-going freelance and remote position.

*Please note that it is mandatory for the linguist to be physically based within a US-aligned timezone (including the US, Canada, Mexico, or South America); candidates working US hours from other regions will not be considered.

Project Details

Location: Remote (US-aligned timezone)
Expected Volume: Approximately 1,000 to 2,000 words per week
Employment Type: Freelance/Independent Contract
Task type: Translation, Copy-Editing (CE)
Content types: Support, Marketing, Legal, Informational, Online Help, UI 
CAT Tool: Lucid and Phrase 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Native or near‑native proficiency in Indonesian (id-ID) with excellent command of US English
  • Proven experience reviewing, editing, translating and proofreading English (en-US) to Indonesian (id-ID) content
  • 3+ years of professional experience in translation/review with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field
    OR
  • 5+ years of professional translation/review experience without a formal translation degree
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing/translating informational, marketing, UI, online help, legal and support content
  • Experience using CAT tools
  • Strong understanding of marketing tone, brand voice, and customer‑facing communication
  • Excellent attention to detail, terminological consistency, and linguistic accuracy
  • Ability to deliver high‑quality linguistic review while meeting deadlines
  • Flexible, reliable, and responsive in a fast‑paced localization environment
  • Strong communication skills and openness to feedback and revisions
  • *Must be based in a US‑aligned timezone (including timezones across the United States, as well as Canada, Mexico, Central America, and South America); candidates working US hours from other regions will not be considered.*
