Senior Infrastructure Engineer

We're hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to evolve our infrastructure for a world where AI agents do real engineering work. As coding agents take on more alongside our team, and increasingly on their own, from shipping PRs to debugging issues to operating scoped systems in production, the systems they run on matter more than ever. We want someone to own that foundation end-to-end.

At Pikkit, we’re building the home for sports betting.

Today, we’re a social sports betting app with over 1 million users, 20,000+ five-star reviews, and more than $30B in legal U.S. sports wagers tracked through our app. We’re featured in industry reports from Citizens Bank, Houlihan Lokey, SBC, and more, and backed by top-tier VCs including Founder Collective, Baukunst, and Matrix.

We’re a team of ~15, all in-person at our Flatiron NYC office. We move fast, ship high-quality product, care deeply about sports fans, and don’t take ourselves too seriously. 😊

This role owns the systems that power how Pikkit gets built. You'll take ownership across three deeply connected areas: our cloud infrastructure, the harnesses and workflows that let AI agents do meaningful engineering work, and the security foundation that holds it all together.

The unifying thread is developer and agent experience, making it faster, safer, and more reliable for both humans and agents to ship great product. Security is a first-class part of this role. As we hand more leverage to AI agents, getting the foundation right, access controls, audit trails, safe execution environments, becomes a strategic priority, not a checkbox.

This is a very hands-on role. You'll be writing code, designing systems, and partnering closely with engineering to compound our velocity.

As Infrastructure Engineer, you will:

• Own and evolve our cloud infrastructure to keep pace with how we build

• Design the harnesses and workflows that let agents do real engineering work, safely opening PRs, running scoped debugging sessions, and operating with permissioned access to staging and production

• Build and maintain our security posture, making "secure by default" the path of least resistance for the team

• Improve developer experience end-to-end, from local dev through production

• Identify bottlenecks in how we ship and remove them

• Set the standard for how a small, AI-leveraged team operates at scale

• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineering

• Experience building or seriously experimenting with LLM harnesses, agent workflows, or AI dev tooling. Open source work or side projects you can show us count

• Strong cloud infrastructure fundamentals (AWS preferred)

• Strong cybersecurity background and a track record of building secure systems from the ground up. This is a core part of the role, not a nice-to-have

• Comfortable owning a domain end-to-end and being deeply hands-on

• Interest in sports or sports betting is a plus
