This year, we crossed $15B in client assets and are growing quickly. Thousands of financial advisors, family offices, and institutional investors partner with Bitwise to understand and access the opportunities in crypto. We are known for providing unparalleled client support through expert research and commentary, a nationwide client team of crypto specialists, and deep access to the crypto ecosystem.

About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team and take on important responsibilities to help Bitwise scale. This role reports to the Director, Head of Investment Operations and will work with our internal systems, portfolio managers, accounting team, service providers, and existing systems to continuously deliver excellence on the core of what we do: supporting our professionally managed crypto investment products.

This position entails owning, improving, developing, and creating new operational processes, protocols, and procedures. Core responsibilities include carrying out settlement functions, reconciliations, transaction approvals, and developing additional capabilities.

This role plays a key part in supporting existing and new funds and in bringing novel, new and innovative products to market. There will be a lot to learn, a huge impact to be had, and some lifelong relationships to be built along the way.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the investment operations support for Bitwise’s Portfolio Management and trading platform, ensuring accurate and timely communication with fund service providers.
  • Oversee and ensure data integrity for all fund transaction data and NAV-impacting inputs, designing control checks and data validation processes.
  • Own the daily/weekly reconciliation process between the internal trade blotters, fund administrator, and custodian, quickly resolving any breakages or discrepancies.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on fund structures, translating investment and operational decisions into compliant administration workflows.
  • Identify, propose, and lead continuous process improvement projects for the investment operations function, and train junior team members on new processes.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of trade settlement and corporate action processing, proactively coordinating with fund custodians and resolving complex, escalated issues.
  • Design, document, and test fund operating procedures, ensuring all processes are robust, scalable, and compliant with fund governing documents.
  • Manage the ongoing review and approval of Subscription Documents, fund agreements, and other complex legal/operational documentation.
  • Own end-to-end counterparty onboarding, including coordinating legal documentation, account setup, and operational readiness across internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless fund launches and new relationship activations
  • Conduct detailed reviews of fund-level custodial changes, client transfers, and verification of wire instruction changes, designing a robust sign-off and control process.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with high autonomy, managing daily interactions across multiple business units and external fund partners.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of counterparty relationships, including onboarding new accounts, negotiating and ensuring the execution of agreements, and performing ongoing due diligence to ensure compliance.

Role Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of direct industry experience in Investment Operations, Fund Accounting, Middle Office, or Fund administration, preferably supporting alternative investment funds.
  • Proven track record of owning, designing, and improving complex operational workflows within a fund structure.
  • Expert-level knowledge of the fund lifecycle, including NAV calculation inputs, trade settlement protocols, capital activity processing, and expense management.
  • Expertise in reconciling transactions across brokers, custodians, and other counterparties
  • Collaborative, self-motivated, and adaptable work style with high attention to detail in fast-paced environments.

What We Offer:

  • Compensation: $130,000 - $170,000 + Equity
    • Final compensation offered will be determined by factors including candidate experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location
  • Equity compensation as a component of all offers
