About the role

Own our company-wide IT infrastructure and power AI-driven support across a fast-scaling team.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of Syllo's corporate IT infrastructure. You will manage our hardware fleet, identity and access management, device provisioning workflows, and SaaS applications—ensuring our distributed team remains secure, productive, and supported.

You’ll also leverage modern AI capabilities to scale internal IT support, automate issue reporting, and serve as a key technical partner as our team integrates new AI workflows into our tooling stack. Working closely with Security Engineering, you’ll embed the administrative and endpoint controls necessary to maintain our ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance standards.

We are looking for a hands-on IT leader who brings strong technical judgment, proactive problem-solving, and a dedication to creating a smooth, secure employee experience.

What you will do
  • Own the corporate IT estate: Manage identity, endpoint devices, SaaS administration, and security posture across a distributed, multi-OS workforce.
  • Scale support with AI: Implement and manage AI-driven workflows to automate ticketing, self-service support, and issue reporting to ensure high-velocity resolution as Syllo grows.
  • Navigate AI integrations: Partner with internal teams and vendors to resolve AI integration requirements, ensuring seamless and secure adoption across our tech stack.
  • Drive hardware provisioning: Oversee procurement, configuration, shipping, asset tracking, and offboarding recovery so every employee has working equipment on day one.
  • Administer identity & access: Manage identity providers (SSO, MFA, group permissions) and streamline joiner/mover/leaver access workflows.
  • Maintain compliance controls: Collect and maintain audit evidence, access reviews, asset logs, and change records to support SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 frameworks.
  • Optimize the SaaS suite: Oversee application inventories, admin privileges, license utilization, and vendor renewal cycles.
  • Manage vendors & MSPs: Own relationships with managed service providers, hardware resellers, and software vendors to maximize service quality and cost efficiency.
  • Partner with Security Engineering: Deploy endpoint and identity controls aligned with security guidelines to protect corporate data.
  • Build clear IT documentation: Create comprehensive runbooks and documentation so IT processes are transparent, repeatable, and scalable.
What you bring
  • Corporate IT ownership: Proven experience as a senior or primary owner of corporate IT in a remote or distributed tech environment.
  • AI-driven operations: Practical habits around using AI tools to streamline support, automate routine tasks, and troubleshoot software integrations.
  • Identity & MDM depth: Hands-on experience administering identity providers (Okta, Google Workspace, Entra ID) and device management platforms (Jamf, Kandji, Intune).
  • Compliance familiarity: Experience supporting SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 audits and a clear understanding of acceptable audit evidence.
  • High-velocity provisioning: Track record of running seamless onboarding and equipment logistics during periods of rapid hiring.
  • Vendor management: Experience managing MSP relationships, contract renewals, and vendor budgets effectively.
  • Service-minded judgment: Ability to solve team IT challenges quickly while maintaining strong security and compliance standards politely.
Experience and qualifications
  • 5+ years of corporate IT experience, including time as a senior or sole owner of the IT function in a fast-growing environment.
  • Practical experience or strong proficiency leveraging AI tools to automate IT workflows, report issues, and support team tool integrations.
  • Hands-on experience administering an identity provider (Okta, Google Workspace, or Microsoft Entra ID) and an MDM platform (Jamf, Kandji, or Intune).
  • Proven experience supporting SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 compliance frameworks and audit processes.
  • Experience managing IT operations for a remote-first or distributed workforce.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Okta, Jamf, Microsoft) are a strong plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
