Salary Range
$100,000 ~ $130,000
The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and may fall outside of this range.

**Employees within 45 miles of WPS Headquarters (1717 W. Broadway in Madison, WI, 53713) will be expected to be able to work onsite 2 days a week on a regular basis.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and/or related work experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience building enterprise‑grade Java SE/EE applications, writing production‑ready code, and applying unit‑and integration‑
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and supporting Apache Camel‑based integration solutions that expose and consume secure RESTful services, configure routes, handle errors, and connect to legacy systems, web services, and message brokers.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Scrum teams, delivering user‑story increments, participating in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, and using Scrum artifacts to manage work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Medicare provider‑portal workflows, CMS regulatory considerations (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH), and common health‑data exchange standards (HL7, X12, FHIR) sufficient to understand business requirements and compliance impacts.
  • Expertise with SQL Server queries and stored procedures.
  • A working understanding of OAuth 2.0 (Open Authorization) for API security.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for pipelines and story management.
