We're seeking a mid-to-senior level Commercial Technology Attorney who enjoys partnering closely with Sales and guiding complex enterprise software and technology contract negotiations. This role is ideal for a collaborative, business-minded attorney who can balance legal risk with commercial objectives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

This position is open to candidates located in the Pacific or Mountain time zones, with regular collaboration across teams in North America and Australia.

What a Day in the Life Looks Like

  • Draft, review, and negotiate U.S. and international commercial technology agreements, including:
    • SaaS subscription agreements
    • Cloud services agreements
    • Software licenses
    • Statements of Work (SOWs)
    • Professional services and implementation agreements
    • Partner, reseller, and OEM agreements
  • Advise business units and leadership on:
    • Software and technology contracting
    • Commercial risk, licensing issues, and regulatory considerations
    • Data privacy and security requirements applicable to SaaS solutions (e.g., U.S. federal/state privacy laws, customer‑driven security terms, DPAs)
  • Support development and continuous improvement of contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Product, Security, and Compliance teams
  • Manage relationships with external counsel as needed
  • Monitor changes in U.S. and international privacy, technology, and commercial law and proactively advise the business
  • Participate in internal training, knowledge sharing, and process‑improvement initiatives

What You Bring to the Team

  • J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school; licensed to practice in at least one U.S. state
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial contracting, ideally in a SaaS or broader technology environment
  • Strong knowledge of software, cloud, data, and commercial contract law
  • Understanding of U.S. data privacy requirements (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, state privacy laws) and familiarity with global privacy concepts (GDPR exposure a plus)
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Strong business judgment and ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives
  • Self‑starter who can work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and a practical, solution‑oriented mindset

Salary range from 140 – 160K

This compensation range is indicative of the role. Compensation offered is based on evaluation during interview process, the candidates’ range and depth of experience, business and market financials and internal pay parity.
