YOUR ROLE
As Senior Manager, Amazon, you are accountable for driving sales growth, operational excellence, and profitability across the Amazon business in North America. You serve as the primary day‑to‑day leader and point of contact for Amazon, managing both sell‑in and sell‑out performance while ensuring operational discipline, brand integrity, and long‑term growth.
You will partner closely with internal cross‑functional teams—including Supply Chain, Marketing, PR, and Finance—as well as external agency partners, to execute a holistic Amazon strategy in line with L’Occitane’s brand vision. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and hands‑on execution, with a strong focus on commercial performance, inventory health, and consumer engagement.
PROFILE
- A commercially driven, detail‑oriented leader with strong ownership of sales results and operations.
- 2+ years of demonstrated success managing Amazon Wholesale accounts within consumer products, preferably beauty, skincare, or wellness.
- Proven track record of successful sales/product management/business development within the premium beauty industry
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance growth, profitability, and operational execution
- Strong understanding of the premium beauty market and Amazon ecosystem
- Excellent negotiation, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills
- Ability to think strategically while executing tactically
- High integrity and strong financial and operational discipline
- Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational and time‑management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with Amazon Vendor Portal strongly preferred

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Amazon Key Account Leadership
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Amazon buyers and operational teams, managing day‑to‑day account activities.
- Own weekly and monthly sell‑in and sell‑out performance, ensuring sales targets are consistently met or exceeded.
- Prepare and deliver weekly/monthly sales reporting, highlighting trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights (Top/Bottom SKUs, WOS, period‑over‑period performance).
- Manage purchase order logs and catalog maintenance.
- Maximize utilization of the Amazon Vendor Portal to support operational excellence.
- Inventory, Operations & Compliance
- Lead daily ASIN monitoring and resolve issues promptly through Amazon ticket management.
- Analyze weekly inventory and WOS reports to maintain healthy stock levels aligned with sales forecasts and financial targets.
- Manage product launches, FIFO execution, and BTR orders as required.
- Ensure supply chain readiness, shipment preparation accuracy, and customer care compliance to minimize chargebacks and operational penalties.
- Marketing, Media & Brand Execution
- Partner with VP to build and execute annual and seasonal Amazon marketing plans.
- Maintain and update the Amazon marketing calendar to align with tentpole events and product launches.
- Own PDP and A+ content updates, Brand Store enhancements, and ongoing content optimization.
- Co‑lead the media agency relationship, tracking ROI of all marketing investments and ensuring spend aligns with profitability and budget targets.
- Collaborate with PR teams on influencer programs and tentpole initiatives (e.g., Vine).
- Plan and execute Amazon livestreams during key commercial moments.
- Lead strategy development, execution, and post‑event recaps for major tentpole events.
- Planning, Forecasting & Financial Ownership
- Own profitability mindset for the Amazon P&L, managing both top‑line sales and cost controls.
- Track and analyze performance vs. plans, identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Support preparation for market meetings, line reviews, and strategic presentations.
- Leadership & Cross‑Functional Partnership
- Act as an internal advocate for the Amazon business, ensuring alignment across Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance.
- Coach and develop coordinator or VIE resources, providing clear expectations and ongoing feedback.
- All other duties or projects as assigned
