About the role
Vestiaire Collective is seeking an experienced Authentication and Quality Control Manager to join the US Operations team (based fully onsite in Brooklyn).
As an Authentication and Quality Control Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and quality of products or services offered by the organization. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around ensuring a strong efficiency of our processes to authenticate products, check the quality of the products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to establish robust authentication processes and ensure adherence to quality control protocols throughout the product life cycle. You will support our teams in their growth and development. The manager will report into the Site Director.
The role will be responsible for Managing the Quality Control and Authentication team and owning the three main functions of the business: quality control, physical authentication, digital authentication.
Your mission is to lead the day to day operations, drive performance to achieve departmental and individual KPIs, find ways of continuous improvement, while keeping customer satisfaction top of mind.
What you will do 👜
- You will lead, manage and develop a team of 10+ individuals in their daily activities, KPIs and departmental performance.
- Drive productivity by assessing capacity and bandwidth utilization reporting tools at hand.
- Improve quality of the department expertise both at the individual and departmental level by working cross functionally with experts.
- Build and plan the teams capacity and competing priorities based on teams needs (annual leave, absences, versatility, compliance with internal rules and safety).
- Monitor and analyze teams performance daily, weekly and monthly to drive performance and KPIs. Leveraging reporting to make effective decisions to course correct as needed.
- Participate in monthly review meetings to analyze performance of departments and individuals. Critically assess performance on how to improve KPIs and customer satisfaction.
- Own hiring, defining needs and oversee training and onboarding plans by collaborating with the experts.
- Maintain clear and continuous communication with peers within other hubs and HQ. Actively participate and contribute to incident management within tools and devices and bugs.
- Active participant on the floor to observe operational challenges and teams needs. Communicate effectively to manager on innovative solutions as well as HQ.

- You have a proven experience in team management (at least 10 individuals).
- You have ideally, 3 years of experience in a production environment (experience in textiles or e-commerce is a plus).
- You possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
- You have strong interpersonal and human qualities.
- You are proactive and always focused on problem-solving.
- You have a strong sense of customer service.
- You have good analytical skills and a command of numbers.
- You are proficient in Excel and reading dashboards.
- You are proficient in reading, speaking, and writing in English.
- You can prioritize and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Initiation into expertise and knowledge of fashion are a plus.
