As the Senior Manager of Commercial Solutions, Finance, you will be responsible for working closely with R1 revenue cycle operations and prospective customers to complete new customer pricing assessments. Daily, the Senior Manager of Commercial Solutions, Finance will focus primarily on support of new customer relationships. This role is critical in supporting R1’s ability to grow as we reinvent the revenue cycle with AI so providers get paid for the care they deliver. As the Senior Manager of Commercial Solutions, Finance, you will cross-collaborate in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment with both internal and external customer finance and operational leadership.

To thrive in this role, you must be highly detail-oriented, have strong critical thinking skills, and have strong analytical and financial modeling skills. Rapid growth in R1 customer deployments will provide a strong candidate with an environment in which to apply creative, critical thinking to solve a wide range of analytical and business problems.

The Senior Manager of Commercial Solutions will report to the Vice President of Commercial Solutions. While this position is fully remote, infrequent travel may be required.

Here’s what you will experience working as the Senior Manager of Commercial Solutions, Finance:

  • Interact directly with new and prospective R1 customer leaders to develop clear, accurate, and comprehensive pro forma models of customer revenue cycle operations
  • Provide analytical information to operations and business teams in real-time to enable strategic decision making
  • Continually improve assessment capabilities and processes to achieve top tier, consistent results
  • Engage with R1 finance and operations team to support new customer budgeting and forecasting
  • Leverage understanding of R1’s business model to identify value creation opportunities and win-win outcomes for R1 and R1’s customers
    • Represent R1 with integrity and a positive, collaborative attitude with customers at all times
  • Create models to assess the financial and operational impact of contractual updates and commercial agreements on customer and R1 financial results
  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations to customers and R1 leadership

Required qualifications:

  • BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field; MBA or CPA is a plus
  • 7+ years of proven experience in a similar role (consulting background or healthcare experience is a plus), with a track record of experience in a customer-facing role
  • Must have demonstrated strategic and analytical capability with strong critical thinking skills; highly detail-oriented with a commitment to continuous learning and strong personal accountability.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, communication (written and verbal), presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills. Ability to exert influence across internal and customer stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of finance and accounting principles and concepts
  • Ability to support multiple operational leaders and projections simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) skills, including prior experience with financial modeling and creating and presenting PowerPoint presentations
  • Knowledge of healthcare finance or revenue cycle management a strong plus but not required
  • Must be willing to travel infrequently (roughly 5-10%)
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $110,000.00 - $181,244.55 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 10.00%
