Our client, a top Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a Senior Editorial Manager to support the firm’s content strategy and ensure high editorial standards across all marketing and communications initiatives. This role will collaborate closely with the Editorial Director and play a key part in shaping the firm’s internal and external voice, ensuring content consistency, clarity, and alignment with brand and style guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and edit a broad range of content, including thought leadership, client alerts, event invitations, and internal communication, to ensure consistency with AP and firm-specific style
Help implement and maintain editorial standards for all content, including practice descriptions, attorney bios, social media posts, and internal messaging
Draft and edit content for the firm’s digital platforms, including the website and social channels
Collaborate with business development, marketing, and administrative teams to ensure content meets business objectives and engages target audiences
Support content development for rankings and awards submissions
Manage multiple content projects and editorial workflows, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
Serve as a key quality control resource for the firm’s editorial voice
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; preferred focus in communications, journalism, marketing, media, or related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in editorial, communications, or business development roles within a legal environment
Extensive experience with AP style and professional editorial standards
Proven track record of managing complex editorial projects and content calendars
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort working with web and digital content management tools
Familiarity with legal industry terminology and marketing practices
