JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a detail-oriented and relationship-driven Sr. Manager, Partner Payments to own all finance-related aspects of our talent and partner relationships. This role sits at the center of how we account for, calculate, and pay our creators — making it critical to both the financial integrity of the business and the trust we build with our partners.

You will be the primary finance point of contact for our talent and partner teams, responsible for the accurate and timely calculation and distribution of talent statements (partner payments), the preparation of monthly talent P&Ls, and the financial onboarding of newly signed talent. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable digging into contract terms, building and reconciling financial models, and communicating clearly with both internal stakeholders and external partners. Success in this role requires precision, discretion, and the ability to translate complex revenue-sharing arrangements into clear, defensible numbers.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the end-to-end calculation and distribution of talent statements (partner payments), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full alignment with each creator's contractual terms

  • Serve as the primary finance point of contact for all talent and partner teams, fielding and resolving finance-related questions and acting as a trusted liaison between creators and the broader finance organization

  • Prepare monthly or quarterly talent P&Ls for each partner, layering in production expenses where a talent agreement includes a production component, and clearly attributing revenue and costs to the appropriate partner

  • Coordinate with the SVP of Content & Talent Partnerships during the onboarding of newly signed talent to fully understand each contract's structure, payment terms, revenue splits, and any production or expense provisions

  • Translate contract terms into accurate payment models and reporting structures, maintaining documentation of how each partner's economics are calculated

  • Implement a partner payment software to automate partner calculations and create efficiencies

  • Partner closely with the FP&A, Sales and Audience Development teams to stay in sync on current billings, revenue performance, and forecasts, ensuring talent statements and P&Ls reflect the most current data

  • Reconcile partner payments and talent P&Ls against actual revenue and billing data, investigating and resolving discrepancies

  • Manage the cadence and workflow of the partner payment cycle, proactively flagging risks, timing issues, or terms that require clarification

  • Build, maintain, and improve the models, templates, and processes used to calculate partner payments as the talent roster grows

  • Support month-end close and reporting as it relates to talent costs, accruals, and revenue share, partnering with the accounting team on proper recognition and recording

  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting on partner economics to finance leadership and other stakeholders as needed

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, ideally with exposure to revenue share, royalties, participations, or partner/commission payments

  • Strong understanding of how to read and interpret contracts and translate terms into payment calculations and financial models

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, financial modeling)

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high bar for accuracy, with the ability to manage many partner relationships and payment streams simultaneously

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders and external partners

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive financial and contractual information

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience in digital media, entertainment, talent management, or a creator-driven business

  • Familiarity with talent/creator contract structures, production accounting, and complex revenue-sharing or participation arrangements

  • Experience building monthly P&Ls and partnering cross-functionally with sales, content, and operations teams

  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Workday, NetSuite) and reporting or BI tools

  • Exposure to a multi-entity or portfolio-company structure

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. We will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories consistent with applicable law.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $128,000.00-175,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
