The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120,800.00 to $201,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. As a Senior Manager, Benefits, reporting to the People Experience division, you will play a vital role in improving patients' lives while working at Pfizer. What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
- Design, implement, and manage competitive and compliant employee benefits programs for active and retiree health plans.
- Responsible for all operational oversight for plans under this role's purview including audits, executive escalations, etc.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends and best practices.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and assess benefit plan changes.
- Develop and lead/co-lead complex projects, ensuring successful objective achievement.
- Partner with internal stakeholders for seamless benefits strategy execution.
- Create communication plans to effectively inform/educate colleagues about their benefits.
- Apply skills and discipline knowledge to contribute within Sub Business Unit/Sub Operating Unit.
- Make decisions to resolve complex to moderately complex issues and function independently in ambiguous situations.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure optimal service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Measure and report on benefits program performance using relevant metrics and KPIs.
- Work independently, using experience to initiate assignments and review work of others including vendors, while serving as a resource.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
- BA/BS with at least 6 years of experience or MBA/MS with at least 5 years of experience;
- Proficiency in managing comprehensive benefits programs in a large organization
- Strong knowledge of US benefits regulations and standards
- Experience with benefits technology platforms and tools
- Advanced analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Expertise in negotiation and vendor management
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to communicate complex benefits information clearly to employees
- Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to develop innovative solutions
- Proven experience in benefits strategy and design including developing plan offerings and related launch efforts
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements):
- Certification in HR or Benefits Management ( eg , SHRM-CP, CEBS) or prior benefits consulting experience
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries
- Proficiency in data analytics and HRIS systems
- Demonstrated experience in leading significant change initiatives
- Familiarity with global benefits programs
- Expertise in financial modeling and cost-benefit analysis
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams as well as manage multiple complex projects with competing priorities
- High emotional intelligence and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
- Leadership skills that inspire team members and foster a positive work environment
