Ruder Finn is seeking a Senior Manager, Social & Influencer Strategy to support social content creation, community building and influencer-activation content for innovative and leading tech brands focused on AI and developer marketing, along with supporting other technology clients and new business opportunities. This role is rooted in developer, B2B and user-first storytelling, bringing authentic, real-world experiences to social channels while ensuring adherence to brand, legal, and platform compliance standards.

This position is highly operational and detail-oriented, with a strong emphasis on managing approval workflows and ensuring content development is resonating with the target audience through both original content created and influencer content. You will work closely with influencers, internal teams, and cross-functional partners to execute content that reflects the real-world developer and tech user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end influencer and social strategy development for technology clients, aligning content to brand, product, and business objectives

  • Own client relationships in social and influencer workstreams including client calls, presenting strategic recommendations, and providing proactive counsel

  • Develop integrated influencer and social campaign plans, including audience alignment, platform strategy, messaging frameworks and content approaches

  • Manage execution of influencer content across network of developer, creator, and technical influencer partners, including coordination, content review and tracking deliverables

  • Coordinate with internal teams, studios, and influencers to ensure seamless execution across timelines and deliverables

  • Help gather and organize data for client reporting, with exposure to platform analytics and Google Analytics/GA4

  • Monitor social channels and support community management, responding to routine inquiries and flagging key issues

  • Contribute to new business and organic growth opportunities through strategic thinking, proposal development, and client upsell identification

  • Develop and apply knowledge of social platform best practices, including developer and tech audience platforms like Reddit, GitHub, Discord, etc, specifications, and objectives

  • Stay ahead of digital, social, and technology trends (AI, developer ecosystems, emerging platforms) and translate them into actionable campaign ideas

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, media studies, advertising, or related field preferred

  • 4-5+ years of experience in social media, influencer marketing, or digital marketing, with experience working with technology clients required (developer marketing experience a plus)

  • Experience driving growth across social & influencer campaigns on Meta, LinkedIn, X, and additional platforms (Reddit, Discord, etc.)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Experience with influencer marketing tools (e.g., Tagger or similar platforms)

  • Strong understanding of technology/developer content development

  • Proactive, organized, and solutions-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to take on new challenges

  • Data-driven thinker who uses analytics and performance insights to inform decisions

  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for how data, AI, and emerging technologies influence integrated communications and storytelling

  • Passionate about digital trends, social platforms, and emerging tools, with a curiosity to continuously learn and grow

The anticipated salary range for this position, at the time of posting, is $75,000 – $100,000. The salary of the applicant selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, education, relevant years of experience, skills, abilities of the selected applicant, and other job-related qualifications.
