Senior Manager of Strategic Operations, Operations (Remote)

Full-Time, Remote / Salary, Exempt

Includes Benefits, PTO, Flexible Schedule, Equity

Steno is growing! We’re looking for a Senior Manager of Strategic Operations to join our winning team, which is revolutionizing the court reporting industry every single day. We’re a diverse team from all over the country (and beyond) and we’re crazy about redefining the boundaries of an outdated industry.

In this role, you will be the go-to problem solver for leadership when complex challenges arise. Reporting directly to the Director of Strategic Operations, you'll take ownership of high-impact initiatives from conception through execution. Your days will involve running strategic assessments, building compelling business cases, and delivering data-driven recommendations that directly influence how the company operates and grows.

Who are you?

We’re looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, digs deep into data to uncover insights, and is driven to deliver real change across the organization. You move beyond traditional analysis—you're hands-on in implementing solutions, combining rigorous structured thinking with the speed and agility of a startup environment. You want genuine ownership, see problems as opportunities, and are energized by the challenge of scaling a growing company.

If you’re looking for a company that offers support, guidance, an abundance of killer giphys, and unlimited potential to grow into your best self, you can bet we’d love to have you too.

On a regular basis you will

  • Take ambiguous problems and turn them into clear frameworks and action plans, owning initiatives end-to-end—scope them, build the plan, and see them through
  • Run strategic assessments (market entry, vendor evaluations, competitive analysis) and deliver recommendations leadership can act on
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that span Sales, Operations, Product, and RevOps, keeping teams aligned and accountable while becoming the trusted expert on business best practices across the organization
  • Design processes and workflows that scale with a growing business
  • Build fluency in our data—uncover insights that shape decisions and surface trends before anyone asks
  • Use storytelling to communicate business insights and your recommendations by pulling, structuring, and presenting data to diverse audiences
  • Build dashboards that tell a clear story about how the business is performing and support teams to make the right decisions
  • Translate complex data into insights non-technical colleagues can act on

You’re gonna crush it if

  • You have 5-7+ years in consulting and strategy & ops (preferably with a high-growth startup)
  • You have strong SQL skills and are comfortable with BI tools (Looker, Tableau) and Python or similar
  • You have a track record building dashboards and translating data into executive-ready insights
  • You have sharp structured thinking—you break down ambiguous problems into clear frameworks
  • You have experience leading cross-functional projects and managing senior stakeholders
  • You're tech-fluent—comfortable navigating and optimizing operational systems
  • You have a bias for action; you ship, not just recommend

Bonus Points if

  • You have experience at a top-tier consulting firm or high-growth startup
  • You have experience with Snowflake or modern data stack (dbt, Fivetran)
  • You have a background in legal tech, professional services, or marketplace businesses

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary - $120,000 - $150,000
  • Health, Vision, & Dental Benefits - low-cost health plans that free up mind space and unlock our employees' best work
  • Wellness/Mental Health - shared benefits to be used among employees and families
  • Flexible Paid Time Off - allowing employees to find balance in their lives
  • Options of Equity - we know our success is nothing without our team
  • Access to a company-provided 401(k) account
  • A home office setup and a monthly stipend to offset internet and phone costs

Our Team

The Operations team at Steno is essential to our success, and as a key support to the COO, you’ll play a vital role in this dynamic environment. You’ll help ensure that our production, billing, provider operations, customer success, and remote services teams are running smoothly, and delivering high-quality legal services.
