Roles and Responsibilities
Pricing Strategy & Governance
- Build and maintain the global pricing strategy and price architecture (list price, floor price, discount guidelines) for the Ultrasound portfolio.
- Coordinate with Global Product Teams for pricing of new product introductions (NPIs), using value-based, competitive and cost-plus inputs, and align it with product lifecycle and end-of-life plans.
- Set pricing strategy for bundles, options, software and AI features, service contracts and subscription or as-a-service models.
Analytics & Insights
- Run price realization, price-volume-mix and margin leakage analyses (price waterfall) to find and close gaps.
- Build pricing dashboards and KPIs (price index, discount depth, win/loss, contribution margin) and present insights to Ultrasound and regional leadership.
- Run competitive price benchmarking and track market intelligence to anticipate competitor moves and shape the response.
- Use statistical models and elasticity analysis to optimize price points and discount guidance.
Commercial Partnership
- Partner with zone commercial and pricing teams to apply regional and global strategy while allowing for local market conditions.
- Work with Finance on the annual operating plan (AOP), pricing actions and margin forecasts together with chessboard like exercises.
- Work with Product Management on value propositions and differentiation messages that support premium pricing.
Process, Tools & Capability
- Build pricing capability across the commercial organization through training, playbooks and best-practice sharing.
- Make sure pricing practices follow GE HealthCare policy, competition/antitrust law and healthcare compliance rules.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering or a related field.
- Proven track record of progressive experience in pricing, commercial finance, strategy or commercial excellence, preferably in medical devices, healthcare or B2B capital equipment.
- Proven track record of designing and running pricing strategy with measurable margin or price realization impact.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with advanced Excel and experience in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau or similar).
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders in global, matrixed organizations.
Desired Characteristics
- MBA or advanced degree in a quantitative or business field.
- Experience pricing capital equipment together with service, software and recurring-revenue models.
- Knowledge of healthcare procurement (GPOs, IDNs, public tenders) and reimbursement dynamics.
- Hands-on experience with pricing software (PROS, Vendavo, Zilliant) and CPQ or CRM platforms (Salesforce).
- Strong executive communication and storytelling skills; able to turn complex data into clear recommendations.
- Lean or continuous-improvement mindset, with experience leading cross-functional change.
- Global mindset and cultural awareness; able to lead virtually across time zones.
- Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.
