Perhaps your previous jobs have been described as a professional problem solver and a team player…the kind that actually gets things done, and has fun along the way. Sounds like you? Then we are pretty sure we have your dream job.
At Vital Farms, the Strategy team is a highly collaborative, joyful, and driven group committed to making a meaningful and positive impact across the business. As a Senior Manager, Strategy, you will play a critical role in advancing our most important initiatives and lead cross-functional, strategic projects. Your work will require strong analytical thinking, clear communication, and the ability to foster productive collaboration across teams. You will serve as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders and help shape the strategic direction of Vital Farms, all while contributing to a team culture rooted in optimism, curiosity, and shared purpose.
What You'll Do:
- Assess internal and external risk and opportunities; bring facts, analysis, and judgement together to identify opportunities, risks, make recommendations, and drive business decisions

- Collaborate with the Strategy team and leaders across the organization on our Strategic Plan (the process and bringing it to life)
- Scope and plan projects (i.e., ensure clarity at the start, set goals and objectives, identify key milestones, create a high-level project plan, identify risks, and set metrics)
- Lead and support projects that will drive performance (financial, operational) for stakeholders
- Conduct end-to-end problem solving (i.e., structure the approach, identify key stakeholders, conduct relevant analysis (qual and quant), develop the “story”, provide recommendations that drive decisions and action)
- Leverage agentic AI to reach more robust answers, faster
- Create clear and compelling communications for internal and external audiences
- Be a thought partner to the Senior Director of Strategy, Chief Strategy Officer, and team members across Vital Farms
- Collaborate with leaders across functions to assess opportunities and bring decisions to life
- Drive change and continuously improve the Ways of Working at Vital Farms to operate effectively
What You Bring to the Table:
- BA/BS degree required. MBA or relevant Masters preferred.

- you excel in ambiguous situations and add a little order to chaos
- you can structure a problem and solve the problem
- you are great at conceptual and analytical problem solving (that drive to decisions and actions)
- you balance the strategic and tactical
- you have a bias for action (i.e., you ask “how can we?” vs. “can we?”) and look before you leap
- you run hard and inspire others to go along (i.e., a change agent – with strong change management skills)
- You can prioritize and work in an agile environment
- You are highly analytic; you can quickly and effectively go from data analysis to synthesis to recommendations.
- You have agentic AI experience/acumen.
- You like to test (and scale quickly) new approaches and are continuously looking to improve things
- You have executive presence, killer communication (written and verbal)
- You have stellar meeting facilitation management skills
- Powerpoint and excel mastery is a must!
- You’re no hero – You know the power of teamwork and celebrate the work of others before your own.
- You give a sh*t – You believe in acting like an owner and making Vital Farms a place to be proud of.
- You raise the standards – You know growth can be hard, but you strive to improve yourself and others each day.
- You can walk in someone else’s boots – You seek to understand other’s viewpoints and think that you get to better answers by sitting on the same side of the table.
- You don’t walk on eggshells – You’re not afraid to leave the bullsh*t behind and have honest conversations.
- We recognize that talent comes in many forms. Even if you don’t meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply. You may have strengths we haven’t yet considered!
