Your role at Baxter

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be a significant supporting role in the execution of the site’s quality improvement and operational optimization projects in support of achieving the annual goals and objectives. Drive various quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives from identification through implementation while working with cross functional resources to ensure results are achieved in a timely manner.

What You'll Be Doing 

  • Implement/support product, process and supply chain changes within the manufacturing environment related to quality improvement and operation optimization through the creation of modification:

  • Process flow within the Manufacturing Department

  • Manufacturing Work Instructions and related documents

  • Field Service procedures and manuals

  • Fixtures, tooling, equipment and systems

  • IQ, OQ, and PQ of fixtures, tooling, and equipment

  • Identify, investigate and resolve manufacturing difficulties including but not limited to:

  • First Pass Yield improvement

  • Throughput constraints and capacity management.

  • Component or assembly substitution evaluations and approvals.

  • Deviations and rework instructions

  • Resolution of CAPA’s

  • Investigation and Root Cause Analysis

  • Corrective Action

  • Preventative Action

  • Measures of Effectiveness

  • Wearing a static protective smock at all times while in the manufacturing work area

  • Wearing a ground wrist strap and plugging that wrist strap into the working table.

  • Working in close proximity to other employees.

  • Working in an environment that is temperature and humidity controlled

What You'll Bring 

  • Display a solid technical understanding of engineering principles and procedures (problem solving, CAPA, change control, measurement system, equipment and process validation, etc.).

  • Experience with Risk Based Life Cycle Management process driving quality and reliability improvement.

  • Demonstrate application of engineering principles on individual/small projects and ability to work with cross functional teams to successfully implement quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

  • Prefer experience with TQM methods (e.g., “six sigma”) and product, process and software validation.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

  • Excellent written communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 3-5 years related experience.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $ $88,000-$121,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
